Dumbfounded Drops MV for “Cool and Calm”

DFD presents a new music video for “Cool and Calm” off his self titled album from last year. This is one of those cases where Dumb and his team were able to do a lot visually with little. Nevermind that there are no exotic locales or expensive budgets, this video is carried out by clean and smart edits – taking on an almost minimalist approach similar to the song it’s set to.

Decipher, Dumbfoundead, Lyricks, Rekstizzy Share Thoughts on LINSANITY, V-Day & the Hoekstra Ad with Gumship

This piece by Gumship isn’t a conventional interview, which is probably a good thing considering that the board they went to for opinions in their February Recap isn’t your conventional collection of MCs. Decipher, Dumb, Lyricks, and Rekstizzy all contribute their two pennies on a wide range of topics including #LINSANITY, past Valentine’s Day experiences, what they would do with Facebook money and more. Check it out in full over at Gumship, it’s one of the more entertaining reads we’ve come across in a while!

Dumbfoundead to Release Free EP on Valentine’s Day

OK, details are still a bit sparse but Jonathan Park himself tweeted that he will be showing his fans some love and plans to release a free EP on Valentine’s day, for your listening pleasure. We have no idea how many tracks, who (if any) other artists are featuring, or generally what to expect but given Dumb’s dramatic upward trend in quality over the past few years – we are looking forward to it. We’ll share more details as they are made available.

Passport: Brian Releases “Can’t Stop” with Jay Park & Dumbfoundead

In K-Pop news, Korean American singer Brian Joo has dropped a new album in the motherland called Reborn Part 1. Why this news is particularly a-Tunese worthy is because one of the singles, “Can’t Stop” features one of his fellow kyopo artists, Jay Park, along with a rap verse from California’s Dumbfoundead. Now, this particular line up is for the English version of the song, with the Korean rendition substituting another MC in for Dumb. You can grab the song on iTunes and stream it via the Youtube link below… for now.

Mr. DFD aka Dumbfoundead has brought out a gift for all of his fans, a remix of Korea’s DJ Soulscape’s jazzy Hip-Hop track “Love is a Song”. The remixed track comes complete with a music video featuring Jennifer Field. If you’d prefer to add the song to your collection, it’s also available as a free DL, here - can’t be mad at that.

Dumbfounded Profiled on Last Call with Carson Daly

Whoa, the dude is making moves! Dumbfoundead was recently profiled on Last Call with Carson Daly, the music themed talk show hosted by the former TRL poster child. It’s kind of a high level overview to help the masses who are unfamiliar with the rising artist, get to know him on a quick and dirty level. I say, the more exposure, the better – because Jonathan Park is certainly someone who deserves it.

Dumbfoundead Features on Wax’s “Guess Who”

Dumb has joined his Clockwise partner in rhyme, Wax, on a track called “Guess Who” off the latter’s latest mixtape, Eviction Notice (a free DL). You can check out the promo video below where the two emcee’s trade rhymes over an EOM beat. The two have always made a strong team and this is yet another example.

Snapshot: DFD x Tiger JK

DFD x JK

Recently, international super star Tiger JK of Drunken Tiger fame brought a Movement concert to LA. But he couldn’t throw down a show in the city of angels without linking up with the town’s golden child, Dumbfoundeadso for the lucky few who were there, you got to see the young and the new school share a moment in the spotlight. Maybe Dumb can take on the alias of DFD Shine and the two can reform Drunken Tiger and call it a day. I wouldn’t mind one bit. Tigers in the presence…

Say Cheese!
