Kina Grannis Performs Live on the Ellen Show

We told you it was gonna happen, and now you can see for yourself. Youtube darling, Kina Grannis had the awesome chance to be invited to the Ellen Show where she talked a bit about her music video for “In Your Arms” and proceeds to perform the track live on the show. And you know what? She deserves every second of the spotlight. Don’t miss out on the clip from today’s show below. Congrats to Kina and her team!

Kina Grannis to Perform “In Your Arms” on the Ellen Show

She isn’t the first of our stars to earn the opportunity to perform on the Ellen Show, but she’s certainly one of our favorites. As you can see from her tweets, Kina Grannis is stoked about learning she’s been booked on Monday’s taping of Ellen DeGeneres’s show, where she’ll be performing her latest single “In Your Arms“. I’m not exactly a daytime TV talkshow type of viewer, nor do I own a TiVo, so I may have to break out the trusty VCR and tape this one. Or Hulu… yea, we’ll do Hulu. Don’t miss out! We’ll do our best to get a clip up afterwards too.

Sam Tsui Performs Live on the Ellen Show

Ellen Degeneres is no stranger to introducing new talent to the world. She (or her staff) is known to comb the the interwebs in search of great artists who are making a splash on Youtube and such. There was Rin on the Rox and Joseph Vincent, and now we can add Sam Tsui to the list. Check it out as he performs his previously released Explosion medley. Barring a couple minor nervous hiccups, they did pretty well.  Way to do it big on the broadcast stage!

Joseph Vincent Sings on the Ellen Show

Whoa. I had no idea about this but Youtube star Joseph Vincent had the opportunity to sing on national television on the Ellen show. I believe the episode aired today. Ellen is no stranger to featuring talented stars she (or her producers) come across online (Read: Rin on the Rox). He performed a replay of IYAZ’s “Replay” and did a pretty decent job though he was likely fighting some nerves cause I’ve heard him better before. Still though, what an awesome huge opportunity for Joseph. Congrats!

Ellen kicked off her new segment, Ellen’s Wonderful Web of Wonderment, with this performance by a musician named Joseph Vincent, whose web videos have had over a million views.

Just ‘Cause: 4 Year Old Chinese Hip-Hop Dancer on Ellen

Do you all remember the clip of the young boy from China who had some incredible dance moves for his age? Well Ellen, the lover of viral videos that she is, got her staff to track him down and brought him on the show yesterday! They gave him a bunch of toys and a trip to Disneyland while he’s in town! It’s so crazy to think this kid is only four years old. I was too busy picking my nose at his age. He does a quick little Michael Jackson routine, and though it’s not quite as polished as his youtube video, it’s just as cute. Enjoy!

Rin on the Rox … On the Rocks?

Is Rin on the Rox no more? It appears to be that way. Now, understand there’s no reason given as to why the star youtube group has halted activites but they have posted the following tweets:

To everyone who supported ROTR…thank you so much. It may be obvious that roxanne and i decided to take another path with our career, WLY!!

We’re just mainly on a break…So sorry we havnt been on YouTube in awhile…We love and miss you all!

In addition, Erin has started up a new youtube page for herself and she’s already posted up a few solo videos. Is this the end of Rin on the Rox? I guess we’ll find out in time.

For a couple of girls who got famous for singing in their bathroom, invited to Ellen and released a single, its obvious they’ve come a long way. Hopefully their journey will continue.

Rin on the Rox appears on the Ellen Show

Filipino American Youtube sensation Rin on the Rox had a guest recently had a guest appearance on the Ellen Degeneres show. They seem like a couple of fun girls and their harmonies are impressive.

They were previously given a mention on the show after their youtube videos caught Ellen’s attention.

What do you think? 15 minutes of fame or a start to something big?
