Just ‘Cause: I.aM.mE Present “I Want It All”

Dance videos are always a little tough to categorize as to whether they are completely appropriate for the scope of this site. But we figured, if we like it, why not? Moon & Chachi has a new choreo video set to Birdman x Wayne x Kevin Rudolf’s “I Want It All” along with a polar opposite and slower paced piece for a Frank Ocean cover by Emmalyn Estrada. The two songs are an interesting contrast – it’s almost like getting two dance clips for the price of one.

Why? Just ‘Cause.

Emmalyn Collabs with Spot & Ess Again on “Fighters”

Following up their previous collaborative single, the catchy “My My My“, Spot & Ess and Emmalyn Estrada for something a little heavier. It’s not quite the feel-good track that was their last outing, but it still contains an encouraging (if vague) tone. Get the song from Bandcamp, below. That being said, it’s a pretty decent way to start off your week.

The In-Studio Covers Round-Up – 2/6/12

I call this the In-Studio Covers Round-Up because I had one criteria as the unifying theme. If I saw a mic in the video, I classified it as in-studio and threw it in this batch. Simple enough right? Nevermind if it was actually used for the recording, or if it’s just a prop, or whatever else. A few new faces sprinkled with some Youtube cover artist veterans. 10 videos in total. Have fun!

J. Reyez Shares The MV To “Try Again”

Canada’s J. Reyez has posted up the visuals to the lead song off his Broken HeArt mixtape from last week, “Try Again”. Those paying attention should notice the cameos from a lot of artists including Emmalyn Estrada, Joseph Vincent, JRA, Lydia Paek & more. J has certainly been improving, I’m beginning to feel more of his songs than not, the present track included. Based on the video, it’s good to see that the rapper rolls in solid company too.

Emmalyn Estrada Features for Spot & Ess on “My My My”

Emmalyn Estrada has linked up with her Canadian bretheren, the Hip-Hop duo Spot and Ess, and features on their track “My My My”. The song originally saw the light of day a few months back but was since rescinded – finally seeing it’s grand re-debut today. I’m digging the throwback sound of the track, this is definitely one of those songs you can just sit back and relax to. The MV is simple but a fun watch too; if you look what you hear then be sure to pick it up via the Bandcamp wdiget below.

The Duets Youtube Cover Round-Up – 7/27/11

Today’s collection of Youtube covers all have one thing in common… they are all duets. Two vocalists tackling some of your favorite songs with a few surprises and twists along the way. Twins Janice & Sonia Lee beatboxing & rapping?  Dual guitars? A recreation of one of Karmin’s most famous covers? A double helping of Arden Cho? It’s all here, so check em out below and don’t forget the ones after the break too.

Emmalyn Estrada Releases the “Don’t Make Me Let You Go” MV

Emmalyn Estrada, the younger sister of singer Elise Estrada, has dropped a new music video – proving that talent runs in the family. The song is called “Don’t Make Me Let You Go” and it definitely has a different flavor from Elise’s music. I’m digging the production and Emmalyn sounds great but the MV was a tad forgettable. I was digging the piano scenes though. The song reminds me of a poppier/R&B-lite version of Mary J Blige. Not too shabby.
