Lil Crazed x Erika David Debut MV for “Just My Type”

In the imaginary wold of photogenic star couples, I imagine Lil Crazed & Erika David could rank near the top. The two play as each others love interests in the song “Just My Type”, from the KiD’s Chapter 3: Liberation – The Lost Tracks. It’s a simple, clean MV for an easy going Pop Rap song. Reminds me of my days in Middle & High School, oh so long ago, when I would hang out at the mall with my friends.

The In-Studio Covers Youtube Round-Up – 4/26/12

Thursday feels about right for another round-up, what do you think? We’ve put together a collection of in-studio performance videos where the artists chose to stay in the comfort of their creative environments. R&B, Pop, Hip-Hop, and everything in between all have representation in this mix. With 10 videos, I’m positive you’ll find something to enjoy, if not all.

A couple notes:

  • Sam Tsui kills it again.
  • I still can’t believe that new Brian McKnight song actually happened
  • I prefer Gabe’s version of “Strip” to the original

“Cruise Control” Mixtape by Traphik Now Available

We weren’t trying to pull an April Fool’s joke on you when we reported about Traphik’s new mixtape. Cruise Control is in fact now available as a free DL from his bandcamp page. The 13 song release with guest features by Jin, Erika David, Dumbfoundead and more, is his latest collective drop since his MixedApe mixtape in 2010. Enjoy via the widget below!

Traphik Announces the ‘Cruise Control’ Mixtape; Due April 1st

That’s right folks, Mr. Timothy De La Ghetto has announced a new mixtape, and it’s going to be available April 1st as a free download. It’s called Cruise Control and is full of 13 tracks including guest appearances by Dumbfoundead, Erika David, and Jin, among others. Songs that made it onto the tracklist include “Fly Young Gentleman“, “CHIA“, and “Charlie Sheen“, so you certainly have a lot to look forward to. The Non-HD Youtube Covers Round-Up – 3/19/12

It wasn’t too long ago that the majority of the videos we saw on Youtube were grainy, low resolution videos taken from webcams, compact cameras, and cell phones. But now, these types of videos are almost a minority as many artists have moved on to newer video recording devices. Even still, there are a few hold outs that are sticking to their tried and true capturing methods and the following round-up is a collection of such clips. So if things look dim and blurry, no worries, it’s not your screen, it’s just some out-dated technology!

Erika David Posts Up the Typography Lyric Video for “Get Right”

Those that checked out Erika David‘s mixtape, Under the Covers, may recall the song “Get Right” – one of the more bass heavy tracks with a little bit of attitude. Well Erika has proclaimed it to be one of her favorite cuts from the project and has put together a kinetic typography lyric video to help promote it. It’s not an official music video, but it’ll have to do for now!

Joanlee x Erika David to Release the MV for “Too Late” on Christmas Eve
