Those that checked out Erika David‘s mixtape, Under the Covers, may recall the song “Get Right” – one of the more bass heavy tracks with a little bit of attitude. Well Erika has proclaimed it to be one of her favorite cuts from the project and has put together a kinetic typography lyric video to help promote it. It’s not an official music video, but it’ll have to do for now!
Joanlee x Erika David fans will find a new digital gift under their Christmas tree come December 24th. They are releasing the MV for their collaborative single “Too Late”, off J’s Under the Radar mixtape. It’ll be available 12PM PST for those that want to see it the second it debuts. If you need a reminder of what the track sounded like, check after the break for the Youtube stream.
Here’s our third collection of Holiday/Christmas themed covers! They are starting to pile up so don’t be surprised if you see another 2 or 3 of these by the time the month is over. There’s a mixture of Christmas standards, Pop tracks both old and new and even a Filipino Christmas carol. Don’t miss the ones after the break too!

Welcome to another episode of Showdown, where we have a little friendly comparison of artists that cover/remix the same songs and then vote for the one we think pulled it off better.
Today brings us a battle of Pop/R&B sings taking on the seemingly infallible Usher. Erika David, Tommy C of IBU, and August Rigo each tackle the current Top 40 hit by David Guetta and Usher, “Without You”. Each artist chose to do something slightly different with their clips with Erika taking the conventional sing with the mic route, Tommy C taking the opportunity to thank his fans, and August recreating the instrumental to give it a small twist.
Now that you’ve heard them all, you know what to do! Vote for your favorite, and they can go to Disneyland! Not on our dime… just saying you should vote for them and if they happen to go to Disneyland on their own prerogative, awesome! Cast your vote now.
“Forever & Always” looks to be the next single to get the big push from Erika David‘s new mixtape, Under the Covers. A full music video should be dropping soon but in the mean time you can check out the trailer clip, giving you a glimpse of how the R&B/Pop song will play out on a visual level. Things look promising but we’ll see how the final product turns out. I will say this though, the girl has come a long way from her very average debut with “My Heels”.
R&B/Pop singer Erika David has finally unveiled her latest project, the promotional album Under the Covers. This is an 8 track release that includes her popular single, “Lemme Go“. We’re just glad to see her finally have some more original material out there to showcase her talents besides her various remixes and covers… perhaps that’s part of the intention of the album title? Either way check out the teaser video below and if you find yourself curious then go ahead and visit her website for the DL… all it costs is your e-mail addy. The back cover can be found after the break.
It appears that Lil Crazed is preparing to drop a collection of songs on a project called Liberation: The Lost Tracks. This is likely a spin-off of his most recent mixtape, Chapter 3: Liberation. There look to be a number of familiar songs on here including First Aid with Tommy C, Superdope, Fading Away with Meesh and more. The project is expected to drop October 25th.

This here’s a big one. A dozen Youtube covers and remixes for your viewing/listening enjoyment. Some are better than others, in general I’ve loosely ordered them in descending order starting with the most enjoyed first. You all already know how I feel about the superfluous number of covers out there but regardless, don’t let me stop you!

Jin must have been real bored. His latest video is a humorous “attack” at his fellow internet-era contemporaries. The 4 minute freeverse includes mentions of Joseph Vincent, JR Aquino, AJ Rafael, David Choi, Victor Kim, Kina Grannis, Erika David, Jayesslee, J. Reyez, D-Pryde, Dumbfoundead, Crazed, Traphik, Toestah and more. Only, before anyone jumps to conclusion, it’s all a roundabout way of acknowledging and recognizing his friends and colleagues for doing their thing in a new age of entertainment. It’s a backhanded diss, if you will.
Pop/R&B singer Erika David has just released her latest music video for her single “Lemme Go“. For those that haven’t heard it yet, the song is a very catchy tune that I imagine most would enjoy. The video itself is pretty decent if a bit uneventful but it’s still a huge improvement over her effort from a couple years back, “My Heels” (which has long since been made private on Youtube). I hope this means we can see an album or EP from her in the near future too!
