The a-Tunes Meta Covers Youtube Round-Up 4/2/12

We have a bit of a truncated round-up today, with just 5 videos for your viewing. But it’s almost like getting two for the price of one with each clip, because today’s theme is a-Tunes artist covering a-Tunes artist, hence the “meta”-ness of the whole thing. It’s like the Inception of Youtube covers! We hope you’re enjoying your first couple days of April – but here’s an open call out to all our fans and artists alike: Let’s continue to support & show each other love by covering and pushing the songs of our fellow artists!

The tune in question is “Candy”, also featuring a guest appearance by the inexplicably “in” rapper Pitbull. Fitting in line with both the film and FM’s MO, it’s an upbeat party song fit for any celebratory playlist. The track will be included on their upcoming album Dirty Bass.

Far East Movement Releases Single with Justin Bieber – “Live My Life”

Ever since FM started publicily discussing their new single with Justin Bieber, there’s been a lot of buzz surrounding the single and how it would turn out. Tonight, as the clock strikes midnight and February 28th is upon us, we can now find out for ourselves as the single is officially available via various distribution channels. This is perhaps their most Pop-friendly tune to date, as Bieber’s contributions to the hook are harmless and make for an easy listen. As for whether or not this truly fits into their Dirty Bass theme, I guess we’ll have to wait and see until the album drops.
