Passport: Brian Joo x Flowsix Release MV for “Let This Die”
Two artists from the states have teamed up for a new pop single called “Let This Die”. The song is off of Brian’s latest EP, Reborn Part 1. Flowsik (of Aziatix) provides the guest rap vocals to make what is ultimately a catchy Pop/R&B tune. I could do without the autotune on Flow’s parts though – and it’s a shame he’s a no show in the video. Either way, check out the visuals below.
Passport: Eddie Shin of Aziatix Releases “If Only” MV
Eddie was a KPOP solo artist before Aziatix, so it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see him branch out on ventures of his own. The following MV is for a track called “If Only” and it’s off a project compilation album titled 청춘만감 (Project Boy, Myself) that was released last week in South Korea. He stays true to Az’s roots as the track is completely in English – also you may recognize the rap feature in the song. It’s his bandmate, Flowsik.

Aziatix Releases Debut Single – “Go”

We showed you the teaser/trailer, but the full official debut single from Aziatix is now available. It’s called “Go” and is the result of a new joint venture by Eddie, Nicky Lee, and Flowsik. It’s not too often you get this much refined talent in a new group, but I guess that’s the blessing of having a few veterans combine forces. It’s definitely a very strong song. Don’t sleep on this one, grab the single on iTunes now!
Flowsik x Eddie x Nicky Lee Form New Group Aziatix & Drop Teaser MV for “Go”
Whoa, this is a pretty awesome surprise. Three Asian-Americans, Flowsik, Eddie & Nicky Lee have put together a new group called Aziatix. Similar in sound to One Way, it looks like they’ll be working the Pop/R&B angle with some Flowsik backed Hip-Hop flavor to boot. This little teaser video is a promising look at what’s to come. Looking forward to their official debut!

Decipher x J. Reyez x DFD x Flowsik x Chan x Johnnyphlo x Jay Park x Ailee Release “Catch Me If You Can” Remix

As promised, the awe-inspiring line up of artists contributed to the remix track has finally been released! Ailee’s amazing introduction really launches you into the track as all emcees’ verses flow right along. It’s a great listen and also makes you want to put the song on repeat. The track is too hot not to snatch up as it’s listed as a free download here.

Flowsik Features on JYJ KPOP Song
Whoa, I did not see this one coming. NY’s Flowsik has jumped on a track by KPOP group JYJ, a spin off group from the now disbanded DBSK. Last I heard Flowsik was going to concentrate on the production grind but it looks like he may be about to pull a Chan and maybe do his thing overseas. Could a reverse cross-over be in progress? The song is a decent pop/R&B jam, a genre I haven’t really heard from Flow in the past.

Jin Drops Tribute Song to Asian MC’s – ‘The A-List’
Jin, arguably the most well-known Asian-American MC, decided to drop a track in tribute of all the Asian MC’s he respects that are doing their thing right now. This song is in response to a list that was published by a blogger on their top 10 Greatest Asian MC’s list, where Jin made the cut at #1. It’s encouraging to see Jin give a nod to his fellow colleagues, or as his once famously said in a Freestyle battle “cause Game recognize game”. He spits over the instrumental to Drake’s “It’s Over”.
Here’s the complete list of rapper’s he shouted out on the track. Ill.

WTF: Urban Azn Presents War For Respect
Wow, time flies… it’s another Weekly Thursday Freebie (It’s already the 18th one!).

But all the credit for this one goes to the good fellas over at Urban Azn. They are the ones that compiled this hip-hop mixtape together for your listening pleasure.
A compilation album of the most prominent Asian rappers in hip hop, War For Respect focuses on the street life that many of us are dealing with today. The album is free for download and promotional uses, hit the jump for details on the album.
The mixtape features Jin, Decipher, Mondega, Shogunna, Rookadamus, Flowsik, Reign Era, Roscoe Umali, Thai, Chan, LS, Yung Mac, & Chuckie Akenz. Some of the songs are pretty dated but the project gives a fair representation on the numerous street singles by Asian-American/Candian Hip-Hop artists over the past few years. The cover art borders between a stylized cool and excessive to the point of cheesy but that doesn’t detract from the fact it’s a pretty good collection of tracks.
You can find the back cover w/ the tracklisting and link for DL after the jump!
WTF: About That Money MV & MP3
Welcome back to another Weekly Thursday Freebie. This week we have last summer’s hit hop-hop single ‘About That Money’ featuring Flowsik, Decipher, Shogunna & Reign Era. It’s a pretty hot collab, though not as nice as the more recent ‘One of the Best‘ in my opinion.
In case you missed the original post, you can check the MV below:
If you’re interested you can dl the MV and song after the jump!
