Furis Unveils Two Tracks – “Push” & “I Can Give It To Ya”

Furis hits us with two new tracks at the same time. First up is “Push”, a joint with Gabby as the wingman over a Ken Nana track. It’s a great choice of beat and a chill track that you can nod ya head to. It’s good to see Furis step away from behind the camera and get behind the mic again.

Check Out “If You Would” by Verseatile

Verse has formally announced a new mixtape, Love Songs & That Other Stuff, that will be available as a freebie in a week’s time -  Friday, April 20th. One of the joints off that project is “If You Would”, for which he dropped a little video directed by a fellow artist, Furis. Fitting into the theme of the tape, it’s got a smoother, more topical vibe (regarding relationships). The production for this particular joint was provided by Joey French.

Surrilla Debuts the “My 808″ MV

LA’s Surrilla just dropped the MV for “My 808″, a quick drop to promote his Partners in cRyhme mixtape due in October. The visuals weren’t nearly as impressive as his last outing (“Slappage“), but they are solid in their own right. It seems like Furis is the go-to guy when you need a decent street vid put together in the K-Town area as he adds Surrilla to his ever expanding resume of projects.

Furis Talks About “All the $ in the World”

The rapper better known as Furis just dropped a new mini visual for an older track called “All the $ in the World”. It’s really just a verse and a hook but there are some  special cameos at the end of the clip including Dumbfoundead, Verseatile, Chosen One, 3 Strykes Krew, Lyricks and more. A cool watch for your Saturday evening.

Chosen x Furis Bring Out the “Sunrise” MV

Rapper Chosen One decided to spit over a Nujabes beat (“Counting Stars”) and got Furis to jump on the track and help close it out. Chosen put together a little comic book style MV though the productions values are somewhat lacking to say the least. A pity since the song itself is actually on point, where as the visuals just don’t do it justice. Check out the clip for yourself below.

Chosen One & Doc Whisper Form New Band – Vary-Us

Chosen One & Doc Whisper have both joined a new band called Vary-Us that features Jason Lee on the guitar, David Lockeretz on bass, female vocalists Claire Rifelj and Rebecca Park, Sam Grewall on the drums, Lora Felicity on the keys and a few folks on the brass and horn sections. Vary-Us appears to have an acoustic Hip-Hop sound to them, somewhat similar to the Roots. Should be interesting to see what comes out of the group.

In related news, you can check out a new collab joint by Chosen & Furis called “In the Flesh” after the break.

Mike B is Ready to “Roll Credits” [MV]

Mike B is one of the newer voices to come out of K-Town LA, who has gotten the co-sign from the region’s veterans including Dumb, Furis, Surrilla and more. In preparation for the release of his upcoming project Better Late Than Never, he’s dropped the MV for the intro – “Roll Credits”. Johnny Art aka Furis is the man responsible for the clean visuals; you can expect the full collection of songs to drop July 22nd.

[Promo MV] Furis – “Breakfast” [Free DL]

Furis, who seems to have a penchant for video as much as audio, has just dropped some visuals for his track “Breakfast”. The watch is a little abstract but a cool mash up of various footage from different perspectives. Furis stays true to his style, retaining his laid back So-Cal flow. “Breakfast” is available as a free DL via bandcamp.

[Music Video] Furis – “Home”

Conceptually, this is a pretty interesting new video from Furis for his mixtape joint “Home”. He took over two thousand photos and sequenced them in reverse order to create this stop-motion video companion to the song. It’s kind of trippy and novel at first, but the lack of variety makes it a bit dull by the end of the 3+ minute track. Either way, I have to admit it’s a refreshing way to promote a track on Youtube. You can get “Home” for free via the widget below. Lyrics after the break.

Here’s a quick and simple video I put together for my mixtape track titled “Home” so you guys can enjoy some trippy visuals to this track. About 2,000 photos were taken in the making of this vid. Why the vid is played backwards is to symbolize that “I’m going back home”, simple.

Interesting fact: I used all my prison letters for the intro of this video. (When the fish looking envelope throws up all those letters) lol

[Music Video] Furis – “Cold War”

Furis put together a unique little video for his track “Cold War”. By utilizing a GoCam and skateboard he was able to put together a visual and perspective not normally seen in a Hip-Hop MV. It gets a bit repetitive after a while but luckily the track isn’t too long so it doesn’t wear out it’s welcome too much. It’s a pretty solid track overall too, available as a free DL via the widget below.
