There is a pretty strong list of musical and spoken word artists slated to perform including the band Ivy Rose, Ryan Bandong, Keshia Lee, Vincent Lacsamana, Mike Yi, Alex Cena, Chris Santa Ana and Melissa Polinar. It’s a great mixture of local and national talent, coming together to support a great cause. Tickets are $10 dollars pre-sale, $15 at the door.
I recently had the chance to catch the all girl rock band Ivy Rose in action at Kollaboration DC a few weeks back and walked away with my interest piqued regarding their material and their music. Thanks to this clip from Youtube, I can hear a studio version of their work in the form of a single called “Midnight”. The band has promise and an interesting package going for it, and with some tweaking and polish, I think they could continue to grow their fanbase. This clip features various footage from different shows they did, all set to the song.

For numerous reason I’m very excited to announce and share the line up and promo video for the FIRST Kollaboration event in DC EVER. Finally one of the biggest and greatest showcases of Asian-American talent has come to the mid-atlantic and the list of competitors include Ivy Rose, Christopher Santa Ana, Amanda Lee, Philip Jung & Dong Woo Seo, Lilian Bui, Dave Bak, Trus Real, and Chip Han. That’s a pretty musically diverse collection of talent and they will be competing for top honors (and some money) on September 25th, 2010 at the GWU Lisner Auditorium. There’s also some well known guest performers including SNRG, Lyricks, the Phil Good Band and a whole lot more. To kick things off they’ve also put together a cool promo music video with some slick effects. Make sure to check out Kollaboration DC’s website for more information and to get your tickets, already available for sale!
Oh and one more thing… I’m so incredibly honored to announce that I, GT, am slated to be one of the guest judges at the event. So I expect to see you all there, it’s gonna be an awesome show!
