J. Reyez Shares The MV To “Try Again”

Canada’s J. Reyez has posted up the visuals to the lead song off his Broken HeArt mixtape from last week, “Try Again”. Those paying attention should notice the cameos from a lot of artists including Emmalyn Estrada, Joseph Vincent, JRA, Lydia Paek & more. J has certainly been improving, I’m beginning to feel more of his songs than not, the present track included. Based on the video, it’s good to see that the rapper rolls in solid company too.

Tommy C x J. Reyez x Jargon Present the MV for “My Reason”

For the next single promotion off his #CMixtape, Tommy C linked up with his pals J. Reyez and Jargon to rhyme over his Pop/R&B track. The video production values are commendable and the trio make a pretty decent team but did anyone kind of feel like Tommy was shouting the chorus? Regardless, I have to give them all props for expressing their determination through song. You can DL the song for free here.

J. Reyez Leaks “Everything” off the Broken HeArt Mixtape

With the release of his Broken HeArt mixtape approaching, J. Reyez has decided to leak a song off the project called “Everything”. His alcohol influenced, introspective rap is stronger than some of his other tracks – a trend I’ve been noticing from the Canadian rapper where his emotional songs are better than his lighter fare. Go ahead and DL the song for yourself, it’s free.

Mega Youtube Cover Round-Up – 10/12/2011

This here’s a big one. A dozen Youtube covers and remixes for your viewing/listening enjoyment. Some are better than others, in general I’ve loosely ordered them in descending order starting with the most enjoyed first. You all already know how I feel about the superfluous number of covers out there but regardless, don’t let me stop you!

‘The Broken HeArt’ Mixtape by J. Reyez Gets New Cover Art

After first unveiling the cover art to his upcoming mixtape project early last month, Broken HeArt, J. Reyez has decided to change it up and will instead use the album art you see above. There were certainly elements I liked from the original, as it conveyed a number of different concepts though this rendition is admittedly much cleaner though more “Ed Hardy”-esque. Look for the mixtape album release in the not too distant future.

Jin “Disses” Youtube Stars

Jin must have been real bored. His latest video is a humorous “attack” at his fellow internet-era contemporaries. The 4 minute freeverse includes mentions of Joseph Vincent, JR Aquino, AJ Rafael, David Choi, Victor Kim, Kina Grannis, Erika David, Jayesslee, J. Reyez, D-Pryde, Dumbfoundead, Crazed, Traphik, Toestah and more. Only, before anyone jumps to conclusion, it’s all a roundabout way of acknowledging and recognizing his friends and colleagues for doing their thing in a new age of entertainment. It’s a backhanded diss, if you will.
