The Jazmin Sisters Interview with Pacific Rim

In my humble opinion, it’s been too long since we’ve seen or heard from the singing family known as the Jazmin sisters. But at least we have this short interview clip to help us bide our time until there is some new music from the group. The interview keeps things fairly light, staying pretty much on the topic of music and their influences, style, etc. My only question is, when can we get a single or a music video!?

Peter Rocks of MyNinja! Interviews w/ BPMnet

Peter Hong, perhaps better known as instrumentalist/musician/entrepreneur Peter Rocks, got some spotlight of his own with an interview on BPMnet hosted by PK and Jazmin‘s Felicia Khong. Listen to him talk about the origin of his explosive clothing line and what it stands for today. This is a cool spotlight on one of our favorite apparel lines and a big part of our community’s growing music and arts culture. You can learn more about MyNinja! here.

Jazmin’s Felicia Features in George Acosta’s “True Love” MV

Trance DJ George Acosta just dropped a new MV for his song “True Love”. So why is this a-Tunes notable? Well, that’s because Jazmin sister Felicia Khong makes an appearance as one of the dancers in the video. You can catch her starting half way through as the bulk of the dances make their way unto the floor. It’s a pretty good track and a fun video to watch, though unfortunately she’s not too prominently featured as it’s more of a group effort.

You can catch some of the behind the scenes action from Felicia’s POV after the break.

Jazmin Posts New Performance Footage of “Like You”

This song’s already a couple years old, and this isn’t the first time they’ve shared some live performance footage of it, but it’s such a darn catchy track and we don’t hear from these girls nearly enough so we’ve decided to post it up for you guys anyway. Here is Jazmin, performing “Like You” at the Haute Nightclub in Hollywood. Stay tuned till the end for a bonus sweet dance routine. Can’t wait to hear something new from these girls!

Snapshot: Jazmin on the Cover of Alwayz Therro Mag

It hasn’t been too long since our last Snapshot feature but this is too cool not to share right away.

Jazmin x Alwayz Therro

Ya gotta love the cover of the latest issue of Alwayz Therro. It features the four sisters of pop group Jazmin and they used an awesome, fun shot of the girls. There’s an interview to go with it too, which you can read online if you aren’t able to get a copy of the actual mag. The girls have been a little on the quiet side as of late but we hope to hear more music from them soon! We miss hearing their sweet harmonies, but I guess this cover story will have to do in the mean time.

Felicia & Jazmin Interview w/ Pacific Rim Video

In case you didn’t know, Felicia, one of the members of the sisterly singing group Jazmin, is also a very talented artist and recently had a lot of her work installed at the O Hotel in LA. At the opening event, she along with her sisters sat down with Pacific Rim Video to talk a little about her art and their music as a group. It’s a great look into another side of one of the Jazmin sisters.

Chris of Pacific Rim Video hangs out at the Feliciart & Jazmin event held at the O Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles this past Saturday, March 20, 2010. For more info on Feliciart & Jazmin, visithttp://jazminonline.com or http://www.feliciart.com/

Just ‘Cause: Shoeture Photoshoot by The Mighty Fifty x Jazmin x ABDCs

This isn’t directly music related but I saw this clip this morning and thought it was worth sharing.

Video production group The Mighty Fifty has shot some behind the scenes footage for the Shoeture photoshoot featuring Jazmin and a whole slew of ABDC participants: Quest Dance Crew, Kaba Modern, Fanny Pak and the Beat Freaks.

It’s always fun to see such a bunch of different entertainers kicking it together in the same room. It’s kinda crazy how many crews there are from the west coast though.

Just ‘Cause: AA Musicians Continue to Support the Center for the Pacific Asian Family

You may recall last week we posted about various youtube stars supporting the Center for the Pacific Asian Family (CPAF) involved with the Chase Community Giving initiative. Well the AA community is still strongly supporting the movement and here’s what some of them have to say…

Alex Hwang, Paul Jisung Kim, Jinah Kim, Gerald Ko, Megan Lee, Clara Chung, Will Volume, Jane Lui, Jazmin

More after the jump.

Jazmin Covers ‘White Christmas’

Geeze, these girls’ acapella game is unstoppable! It’s a short clip but they sang a beautiful rendition of ‘White Christmas’, complete with great harmonies and a christmas tree in the background. I wish it were a little longer. I would have loved to hear them sing this song doo-wop style for its entire length. My only complaint is the distortion of the volume levels =(.
