As promised, JC has premiered her latest music video for the song ‘The Way You Do’ exclusively on MTV Iggy.
It’s a very laid back song and video that has a cheerful, warm tone. Even though the video is simple, I really like the setting on the beach as the sun goes down. I thought it fit the song perfectly. The song may not have any vocal gymnastics or crazy video production but it certainly deserves a spot on your mp3 player.
I wonder when it will be officially released as a single.
The OC Weekly has done a feature interview with Jennifer Chung. They discuss where she grew up, how she ended up in Orange County (California), what it’s like to be a huge Youtube star and her general experiences with music as a whole. A great quick read for any JC fan.

Just as we reported the other day, Jennifer Chung & Legaci have shared their collab cover of “Don’t Stop Believing” by Legaci and as heard on the FOX show Glee. I’m not even tryna hype this up, they did an incredible job.
The song was one of the highlights of the show so far, and JC & Legaci have def done it justice. Their voices just blend so well together.

Jennifer Chung has announced that she recently met up with R&B group Legaci and they will be sharing a new collab video together in the near future!
Here’s an excerpt of her statement:
Getting to do collaborations with people is rare for me because of my time management. Whether it’s the lack thereof or that I’m managing my time too much to the point where I don’t have any space to do anything more than my usual schedule q2#*%01!!! (sigh), I just don’t have that much time.
Going back home was stressful, but I’m glad that I went to the common simple beautiful waysHARDY HAR HAR!
This break I got in touch with the guy’s from Legaci. I was really excited because after Brandon told me about them, I pretty much fell in love with how sharp they were. (I don’t mean KEY wise, but just that AWESOME) I knew that I had to at least meet them.
With the little time that we had, I got to meet Del, Micah, and Dom. Chris was unfortunately not able to make it, but I got to talk to him through twitter. He’s bomb too! Del and I had been corresponding back and forth about the project so it was nice to finally meet him.
They all greeted me so kindly and with open arms that I got even more excited than before.
They’re hard working individuals just doing what they love. Please support their music. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll invite them to perform at any gig your holding! TRUST. THEY ARE SOLID!

Personally, I can’t wait till this video is released as I’m a HUGE fan of everyone involved. Collaboration and community can be such an amazing thing.
Many asian american musicians and entertaines are joinging forces to battle heart disease by hosting a benefit concert called Harmony for the Heart in support of the American Heart Association. The event, set for January 13th, 2010, will feature AJ Rafael, Cathy Nguyen, Jennifer Chung, Johnny Yang, Joseph Vincent, Kris Mark, Lydia Paek, Paul Dateh, Ramiele Malubay, Request Line (Scott Yoshimoto, Casey Nishizu, Emily Yoshihara), Timothy DeLaGhetto AKA Traphik, MOVeMEDIA Productions and DJ Ackus. What a huge feature interview and great exposure for the budding young Youtube darling! Check out the interview where she talks about how it all started, how she juggles college life and music and of course a few words on Subway haha. After the interview check out a great acoustic performance of ‘Very Last Time’. She totally rocked it.
All in all, I gotta say JC oozes charm. She’s so personable and down to earth and I think that’s helped her connect with her fanbase that much more. Shameless Subway pitch aside, I really enjoyed these clips. Team Jennifer Chung FTW!
Catch Jennifer Chung’s recent performance at the famous Roxy as she sings an original song (‘The Way You Do’) accompanied by none other then the band Seriously. The audio quality isn’t the greatest in this clip but its great to hear her in a live setting and away from a webcam for once. That girl’s got some pipes. I hope to hear both her and seriously live in the near future too.
