Jessi Malay Unleashes “Role Play”

Here it is. The new single & accompanying music video by Jessi Malay – “Role Play“. This track once again features Prophet w/ the guest raps. The single is generally catchy though I don’t think it’ll evoke a reaction too far in either direction. As for the video, production values are great and if the intent was to showcase Jessi’s non-vocal assets as well then they have succeeded. I imagine most of our male audience won’t complain too much about the gratuitous eye candy.

You can DL the single for free from her website and catch the MV after the break.

On November 29th you’ll be able to check out the music video to Jessi Malay‘s newest single, “Role Play” ft Prophet. To help encourage a little buzz, the singer and her team have posted up the trailer clip to the visuals. It looks like they went all out for this one, with production values looking sharp. It looks like it may be a bit risque, for better or worse depending where you fall on the subject. We’ll have it up once it’s officially released!

Jessi Malay x Prophet Release the MV for “Like You”

We’ve known roughly for a month now that Jessi Malay was gearing up to make a comeback, and now her latest single and music video with the rapper Prophet called “Like You”, has finally dropped. They seemed to gone a little further than your average music video, incorporating an entire action sequence as the visual backdrop to the song. It’s a fairly catchy pop single and the video is interesting (with a twist!), if not a bit random. Can’t wait to see/hear more from Ms Malay!

Jessi Malay Must “Like You” Enough to Preview Her Upcoming Single

True to her word, Jessi Malay continues to prepare for her return. The following is a clip of “Like You”, an upcoming pop single done with Prophet. Unfortunately we don’t get to hear the whole song, just a snippet, but it’s enough to give us a pretty god idea of what to expect. It has promise but my only hope is that the vocal effects aren’t overdone in the whole track.

Jessi Malay Interview w/ PureStyle

Pop/R&B Singer Jessi Malay talks with PureStyle and gives an update on what’s been happening in her life and career.

From the very first question you can tell a lot has happened recently to Ms Malay!

PureStyle: Jessi it’s been way too long. Tell us, what have you been up to since our last epic interview with you? Did you miss us?Jessi Malay: Like you wouldn’t believe!! Of COURSE I missed you!! We haven’t spoken for a LONG time!! Where shall I begin… Last summer I released my first official single, Cinematic, produced by Felli Fel, shot a hot video, and then started touring around a bit doing shows. In the midst of all that, I had a freak accident and tore my ACL in my knee and had to have knee surgery. About a month after surgery I got super sick and was out of the scene for months!!! With all that down time, I started writing and am proud to say I wrote the best songs I’ve ever written

They continue discussing different aspects about her music, taste in men, and life experiences. They also talk about her recent music video shoot for ‘Cinematic’ which you can catch after the jump. It’s a short interview but a good read for any of you Jessi fans out there.
