A couple days ago we shared Joseph Vincent‘s preview of his new track, “S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day)“. In Valentine’s related news, with the Hallmark holiday quickly approaching it’s only appropriate that songs start to appear focused on the event. But the latest from Joseph Vincent isn’t exactly the expected, lovey-dovey track you’d think it to be. This one is called “S.A.D. (Single Awareness Day)”, with an official music video coming out in the next week or so. He also revealed the title to his upcoming debut album, Blue Skies. The Youtube Collab Round-Up – 1/31/12

We figured why not end the last day of the first month with a new batch of Youtube covers. This round-up is another sampling platter of collaborations among different artists. There’s a lot of acoustic music in this particular grouping, with one particular exception. As always, the production qualities vary wildly but there should be something for everyone to enjoy.

The Youtube Pop Covers Round-Up – 1/27/12

Happy Friday! This is yet another collection of youtube covers, this time around the centralizing genre is Pop. There are some extremely creative visuals here, along with some of the more run-of-the-mill-and-sing-in-front-of-a-webcam varieties, but all in all there’s a little something for everyone. We’ve got tunes from various decades, dating back from the 70′s – so it’s kind of interesting to hear what was and is Pop. Enjoy!

The “I Won’t Give Up” Youtube Cover Round-Up – 1/19/12

Normally we’d hold a showdown when so many artists cover the same song, but everyone involved this time around has been in the ring many times before, so we figured we’d hold off for this one. The song of the hour seems to be “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz, and I can understand why – it’s a heartfelt tune from a beloved artist who hasn’t had new material in a while. So, the question is how do some of our artists compare? I’ll let you form your own opinion but my favorite of the bunch is easily Clara’s rendition. Switching from guitar to piano was a brilliant move.

The Stringed-Instruments Youtube Round-Up – 1/12/12

OK, you may want to get some popcorn because this round-up is gigantic. How does a baker’s dozen worth of cover videos, all featuring a stringed instrument, sound? The vast majority of these videos are guitar driven but we have a couple surprises in there including a violin and a mandolin. Yea… we went there. So get your fill of the unplugged variety because the next round-up is going to be a little more Hippity Hoppity related.

afterschoolspecial x The Dreamlapse Project Debut MV for “Dreamers”

Now this is a pretty cool watch. Sometimes good things take time to come to fruition. Such is the case with the music video to “Dreamers” from afterschoolspecial‘s album, It’s All In Your Head. For this music video, they enlisted the new “it” team of the moment, The Dreamlapse Project to create a fun visual in the first person format a la Prodigy. And to help with the project, they’ve gotten everyone to make a cameo and join along for the ride. When I say everyone, I mean everyone. Check out the notes after the video below for the complete list of talent as well as a link to the BTS post.

Just ‘Cause: The Jubilee Project Presents “Be the Change”

The great folks at the Jubilee Project always tends to put together great videos, focusing on amazing themes and causes. Their latest project puts some of our favorite artists and Youtube stars on the spot, asking them what is important to them and what they would like to see change and happen in this world.
