Whoa there. The release of this Youtube clip raises more questions than it answers, but Kenny Wolftron has a new song up on this channel under the Daphne Loves Derby banner. Does this mean what I hope it does? The band is coming out of hiatus? Keep in mind, Kenny Wolftron has been historically meticulous in labeling his music, either as Kenny Choi, or Wolftron or even… Daphne Loves Derby. Either way, take a listen at “Mare Infinitas” – the first glimpse of some newer material from the band in a long time.

Wolftron Says to “Stay Safe”

Much of Kenny Choi‘s post-Daphne work has gone in a much more tranquil direction, and “Stay Safe” continues that trend. With the Northwest going through a pretty, epic snow storm, Wolftron decided to take the opportunity of idle time and put together a soothing song and video to accompany it. Check out the winter wonderland through the lens of his iPhone.

Now I want it to snow here too, dang it.

Jennifer Chung x Kenny Choi Reveal a “Natural Disaster”

On a recent trip to Seattle, Jennifer Chung made to sure to connect with some talented friends of hers including Kenny Choi aka Wolftron. Together, they put their creative minds to use collectively and out came a little song they call “Natural Disaster”. The two make a great duo, and although the song we found on Youtube is of demo quality, we certainly hope they find the time to give it the studio treatment and make it an official release. But this will certainly do for now. PS, their nickname for their team is ‘JENKEN’… cute, haha.

The Kollaboration Seattle Contestants Release the 2K11 MV

Keeping with Kollaboration tradition, this year’s batch of Northwester contestants in Seattle have released their music video, a cover of Katy Perry’s “Firework”. Along  the competitors vying for top honors, there will be special performances by Australia’s Jayesslee, Gowe and more. Also, there are some great guest judges including Travis from New Heights, Kenny Choi, and last year’s Sea-town winner, Erin Kim – among others. Count to “88″ with Wolftron

“88″ is a new tune by Kenny Choi aka Wolftron. It’s a chill tune, with Ken’s eclectic brand of pop/rock fully in tact. I’m diggin the lyrics and general feel of the song, though I’m honestly hoping this is all leading to something a bit grander in scale than random song leaks here and there. Could there be an album in the works? Let’s hope so.

Wolftron (Kenny Choi) Reveals a “Prison Planet”

It appears that Wolftron (aka Kenny Choi of Daphne Loves Derby) decided to go in a new direction with his latest musical releasee, channeling some retro electropop from the 80′s for the song “Prison Planet”. So how did this departure from the norm fare? To be quite honest I’m liking it a lot! His softer voice couples well with the style, I have to admit I didn’t really see this one coming. It’s always interesting to see band members experiment on their own.
