Kollaboration 11 – 11/5/11
Wow. It’s insane to think that the original Kollaboration is already at it’s 11th show. This year’s festivities in LA is ramping up as the show date quickly approaches – November 5th. The line-up includes a mixture of new faces and veterans alike including afterschoolspecial, Andrew Figueroa Chiang, Dawen and more. Even the guest performers billing is stacked with Clara C making a return appearance to the platform that helped launch her career along with a homecoming for former director and comedian, PK. In addition, current K-Pop sensation G.Na will be in the house too. Get ready! You can purchase tickets to the event here!

The Kollaboration Seattle Contestants Release the 2K11 MV
Keeping with Kollaboration tradition, this year’s batch of Northwester contestants in Seattle have released their music video, a cover of Katy Perry’s “Firework”. Along the competitors vying for top honors, there will be special performances by Australia’s Jayesslee, Gowe and more. Also, there are some great guest judges including Travis from New Heights, Kenny Choi, and last year’s Sea-town winner, Erin Kim – among others. Kollaboration NY 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
These Kollaboration MVs are becoming too legit. We saw the preview a couple weeks back, and the NY show is coming up in a month’s time at the end of September, so here is the final cover MV of Maroon 5′s “Moves Like Jagger” by all the contestants. The talent pool seems to run deep this year so you can expect a heated competition. NY, you have one heck of a show coming your way. Check after the break for more information.

The Kollaboration DC 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
Wow, nearly one year has already passed since the maiden launch of Kollaboration in the nation’s capital. Let me tell you first hand, it was quite the show and experience last year and one I highly recommend you check out now that it’s in it’s second year. If you’re anywhere near the DMV, then do not miss out! The show will be held at UDC on September 17th, just a few short weeks away. Additional information can be found at the FB event page, at the Kollab DC website, and after the break. Jen Kwok is slated to host with a number of guest performers including Sickboi and last year’s winner, Chip Han!

A Teaser Clip for the Kollaboration NY 2011 MV
Ooh, I’m liking the looks of this. Entering their 6th show, Kollaboration NY is one of the more veteran cities to host one of the longest running platforms for our communities’ talents. So it’s no wonder why their upcoming MV for this year’s show looks to have the polish and production values to match! This year’s card of contestants looks to be quite stacked and I saw a few familiar faces in the teaser below (set to Maroon 5‘s “Moves Like Jagger“), including Rooftop Pursuit and Triangle Offense.

The Kollaboration SF 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
The Kollaboration SF competition is less than a month away, set for September 10th at the Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley. But with that date quickly approaching you know what that means… promo MV! This year’s group put their own little spin on the ubiquitous fan favorite “Price Tag” by Jessie J. The show has 7 acts all vying for this year’s honors. Also, special Guest performers include AJ Rafael & Jane Lui! Everyone in and around the Golden Gate City on September 10th should not miss this one. The Kollaboration Houston 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
A couple weeks back, the Kollaboration Houston 2011 contestants were announced. Kepping up with Kollab tradition, they now have a promo MV out – a cover of the popular Jessie J song “Price Tag”. The entire line-up did a fantastic job and put together a smooth, toned down remix of the song. The event will be held at the Stafford Center on July 23rd, so make sure to attend if you’re nearby in the lone star state. Kollaboration Houston Announces 2011 Contestants
With Kollaboration Houston moving into it’s second year, they are ready to reveal their latest batch of finalist contestants for the 2011 show, set for July 23rd. There is a new collection of largely undiscovered talent in the midwest, ready to take this year’s title. Dette Buentipo, Duette, Joyce & Suneth, JR Kim, Judy Hong, The Rare Classic, Sean Liang, S.o.L, and Vara will be representing along with a number of feature performances. Adam WarRock Interviews w/ Hyphen Magazine
Kollaboration ATL 2011 winner Adam WarRock sat down for an interview with the great people at Hyphen Magazine, talking a little bit about his upbringing, decision to pursue music, style, influences and more. It’s a great primer for those not too familiar with the “nerdcore” Hip-Hop rapper. Be sure to read the rest over at Hyphen Mag or after the break.
Kollaboration Boston 2011 Dance Finalists Release Promo Video
You saw the video by the vocalists from this year finalist lineup for Kollaboration Boston’s debut show, but now you can catch a preview of the dance finalists too. They mash up Deadmau5 and the Far East Movement and show off some of their moves to the high energy track. There are four crew represented here and they are as follows:
