The Kollaboration SF competition is less than a month away, set for September 10th at the Zellerbach Hall in Berkeley. But with that date quickly approaching you know what that means… promo MV! This year’s group put their own little spin on the ubiquitous fan favorite “Price Tag” by Jessie J. The show has 7 acts all vying for this year’s honors. Also, special Guest performers include AJ Rafael & Jane Lui! Everyone in and around the Golden Gate City on September 10th should not miss this one. The Kollaboration Houston 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
A couple weeks back, the Kollaboration Houston 2011 contestants were announced. Kepping up with Kollab tradition, they now have a promo MV out – a cover of the popular Jessie J song “Price Tag”. The entire line-up did a fantastic job and put together a smooth, toned down remix of the song. The event will be held at the Stafford Center on July 23rd, so make sure to attend if you’re nearby in the lone star state. Kollaboration Houston Announces 2011 Contestants
With Kollaboration Houston moving into it’s second year, they are ready to reveal their latest batch of finalist contestants for the 2011 show, set for July 23rd. There is a new collection of largely undiscovered talent in the midwest, ready to take this year’s title. Dette Buentipo, Duette, Joyce & Suneth, JR Kim, Judy Hong, The Rare Classic, Sean Liang, S.o.L, and Vara will be representing along with a number of feature performances. Kollaboration ATL 2011 winner Adam WarRock sat down for an interview with the great people at Hyphen Magazine, talking a little bit about his upbringing, decision to pursue music, style, influences and more. Kollaboration Boston 2011 Dance Finalists Release Promo Video
You saw the video by the vocalists from this year finalist lineup for Kollaboration Boston’s debut show, but now you can catch a preview of the dance finalists too. They mash up Deadmau5 and the Far East Movement and show off some of their moves to the high energy track. There are four crew represented here and they are as follows:

Kollaboration Boston Releases 2011 Promo Video
With the 2011 Kollaboration season in full swing Boston is next to drop the promo video for this years event. The contestants chose to remix the infectious Lupe Fiasco tune “The Show Goes On”. Congrats to I Rock with the One for Winning Kollaboration Toronto 2011
For all you dancers, stand proud cause dance crew I Rock with the One has taken top honors at last weekend’s Kollaboration Toronto. Watching the routine, they definitely have their moves locked down crisp and garnered a lot of crowd reaction, especially with that mech routine near the end. You don’t see as many dance crews winning these multi-genre competitions so it’s refreshing to see them shine. Interestingly, the winning announcement was such an anti-climatic moment haha. Kollaboration ATL Releases 2011 Promo Video
Already in it’s 4th installment, Kollaboration Atlanta is gearing up with the shot all set for March 26th at Center Stage. It looks like there is no shortage of talent as there is no shortage of talent in the ATL, with 11 competing acts all vying for top honors. If you’re in the South East, make sure you attend the show! There’s everything from acoustic to Hip-Hop dance, to Rap, to Rock so there’s pretty much something for everyone. You can find more information and purchase tickets here.

Kollaboration Toronto Finalists Release the “Yeah 3x” MV
The Kollaboration Toronto folks have already dropped the promo video, but with the event only a few days away they’ve put the promotion into high gear with a new MV as well. They appear to be mimicking the formula that made the Kollaboration 9 trailer MV a hit by making an unplugged remix of a Chris Brown song. This time it’s “Yeah 3x” though the results weren’t quite as golden this time around. Either way it should be a fun competition along with special performances by Boombox Saints, Esly, Krnfx, J Reyez, and Clara Chung. You can find out more here, and buy tickets here.
Kollaboration Boston 2011 Finalists Announced
And the movement continues! The first ever Kollaboration Boston is scheduled to take place April 16th, 2011 and will feature some of the greatest talent New England has to offer. They’ve already begun selling advanced tickets so be sure to get your seats. You can read up more on the event by visiting their site. Based on the finalists list, there seems to be a healthy dose of Hip-Hop & Dance represented along with a couple other styles as well. They will announce some special guests soon so stay tuned!
