Kristine Sa – “Fall Into Me” Demo MV

It’s not too often we get to see Kristine Sa smile in her music videos as her songs are often very melancholy and downtrodden in nature but this visual is a welcome change of pace. This is a no-frills video (hence the “demo” label) but the production values are still clear and crisp and perhaps most notable are the appearances of Ms. Sa’s rarely seen pearly whites. Find the lyrics after the break.

A little something light and fun from me… for once! ;) I dedicate this to all the long-distanced lovers out there. Fall into one another and I wish you all love.

Kristine Sa Unveils Demo Song – “Stay for Old Times’ Sake”

I haven’t heard new Kristine Sa material in a while so it was a pleasant surprise to see that she has posted up a demo from her vault called “Stay for Old Times’ Sake”. It’s a gentle, acoustic tune but with subtle, catchy pop sensibilities. Her voice is a great match for this type of song and Kristine chose the perfect video footage to pair with the tune, incorporating scenes from some of her recent excursions abroad.

Just ‘Cause: Kristine Sa Opens Up About Her Experience with Polio

Many of you know Kristine Sa as a Vietnamese-American singer who has been active roughly a decade. Others may recognize her as a staple of the SBTN network and host of the show “Heart to Heart”, where she interviews a number of Vietnamese icons and public figures – giving them a platform to share some of their deepest stories and accounts. Well, on a recent episode the tables were turned and Kristine spoke to the audience on a topic that she’s generally held from the public. As a young child, Kristine had a bout with Polio that impaired and partially paralyzed one of her legs – a consequence and affliction she still deals with today. In this moving episode, Kristine finally reveals her emotional and physical struggle from the ordeal and how it’s affected her, even to this day.

We truly appreciate it when the artists we cover take a moment to share a little bit of themselves with us. Kristine Sa was very brave to publicly speak on the subject and share her story – and thus far the response has been tremendously supportive. Check out the the clip from “Heart to Heart” after the break, along with her vlog response to all of your loving comments.

[Studio Performance] Kristine Sa Covers Tony T Nguyen’s “Not Alone”

Artists Tony T Nguyen and Kristine Sa are known to frequently work together so it’s no surprise to see Kristine cover Tony’s own original ballad “Not Alone”. Of course it has a completely different feel when sung by a female, but I’d like to hear a polished studio version after seeing this clip. This live studio version had a couple rough spots, particularly when Kristine has to drop into her lower register but I think the song has potential if cleaned up… and maybe even turned into a duet featuring both artists.

Tony T Nguyen Releases the “Two of Us” MV

Singer/composer Tony T Nguyen has often done a lot of things behind the scenes, hosting events and composing music for other artists, but every once in a while he steps out on his own in a big way. For this song “Two of Us” he enlists the writing help of Kristine Sa while Connie Lim lends her vocals to the track. The video is pretty impressive, filled with plenty of Minority Report-esque effects and stylish flourishes abound. It’s a great visual for an intriguing track. I’m always a fan when artists aren’t afraid to get creative with their work. If you like the track, pick it up on iTunes or Amazon!

Kristine Sa x Tony Nguyen Release the “Free to Fly” MV

Child trafficking is a human travesty that takes place all around the world. Kristine Sa and Tony Nguyen are just two of the many artists that are working hard to raise awareness and battle the terrible practice. Last month, they released a single called “Free to Fly” for this very cause and now have just dropped the video to help spread the word. The song and video are both touching and haunting, and it makes perfect sense why. Read more about it all after the break.
