Finally someone puts out an acapella of a song! It’s been a while since I’ve heard someone cover a song, acapella style. I love it when people sing a song acapella style because it shows their true talents. It also tests them as an artist! The beauty of acapella songs are wonderful because artists like Lydia Paek make them sound beautiful. I could fall asleep to her wonderful singing! As caring as she is, she shows her thankfulness and gratitude because she just got back from her mini tour in Australia. Hopefully she will put out another cover or original soon so we can hear her marvelous singing.

Just ‘Cause: J. Reyez x Lydia Paek x Victor Kim Jamming Backstage
Respect to the musicians who live and breathe their art, always creating before, during, and after a show. In this clip, J. Reyez, Lydia Paek and Victor Kim are all chilling backstage before an event and of course an impromptu jam session went down. Lydia and Victor always make a great pair but J’s verse at the end wasn’t too shabby either. There’s a bunch of silly filler in the middle but it’s still a fun watch.

Victor Kim x Lydia Paek x JRA x Erika David x Traphik x Passion Sing “Lemonade”
Most people who have been following Asian-American music for a while will be familiar with the classic Passion song “Lemonade”. Well a bunch of singers were in Canada for a gig and what do you get when a lot of talent is in a small room? Awesome jams. Check out this clip of Victor Kim, Lydia Paek, JRA, Erika David, Traphik and Passion all jamming out to “Lemonade”. You can tell it was a bit impromptu but it’s still a fun clip.
Jasmine Rafael x MoveMedia Productions Dance Reel
You may know Jasmine Rafael as the little sister to AJ Rafael, or as member of the youtube singing group BLYSS, but did you also know the girl can dance? She recently teamed up with Scott Yoshimoto of MoveMedia Productions to create her own dance reel. She also enlisted the help of Carissa Rae and fellow singer/dancer Lydia Paek as supporting dancers. Jasmine is clearly one very talented kid and it’s awesome to see her tackle the arts on so many different fronts.
Lydia Paek x Victor Kim Cover ‘Every Time You Lie’ By Demi Lovato
Check the latest cover by Lydia Paek, accompanied by Victor Kim on the guitar. They cover ‘Every Time You Lie’ by Demi Lovato and though the audio quality isn’t the greatest Lydia definitely shines in moments. She has such a great voice. It’s crazy how both of them are not only incredible dancers, but musicians and singers as well.
On a side note, Victor’s expressions as his girl and Lydia talk back and forth over the phone are hilarious.
FM x Lydia Paek x AJ Rafael x VuDoo Soul x IZreal Hold Benefit Holiday Party
OK, so I’m crazy late in posting about this but for those of you in the southern Cali area that read this blog, in case you didn’t know there is a huge Holiday benefit event sponsored by 4C The Power taking place TOMORROW in your area. The party is being hosted by the Far East Movement and will include appearances by Lydia Paek, AJ Rafael, VuDoo Soul, IZreal and more. The party is for a good cause and benefits of the proceeds go towards the UC Davis M.I.N.D. Institute for Autism along with the Red Scarf Project in support of children’s heart surgery in Asia. More than seeing great artists you’re helping an even greater cause.
