The Ladies’ Youtube Cover Round-Up – 11/13/11
Oof, today’s round-up is a doozy! We have a dozen covers for you, all sung by the darlings of a-Tunes. There isn’t a single male vocal to be found in this collection but you will find some videos courtesy of Inch Chua, Jayesslee, Nessa Rica, Kristine Sa, Dia Frampton, Esther Lee, Lily Bee, Connie Lim, Lydia Paek, Cate Song, Lindsey Yung, and Marie Digby. Inch’s cover in particular got my attention… it’s hauntingly heartfelt. Check em all out below.

Marie Digby Shares the Duet Version of “Your Love” MV
“Your Love”? Wait, didn’t we already see an MV for this song from Marie? If you find yourself asking this question, you would be partially correct. While she did release an MV for the track, it was for the dolo variation of the song. For those that picked up her most recent album of the same name, you should be privy to the fact that there is also a duet version featuring Sam Milby – and these are the visuals for it. I think I prefer this one, it has a little bit more charm with the added male dynamic and the MV has an earnest characteristic to it.
Marie Digby’s ‘Your Love’ Album Now Available in the US
Originally released in the Philippines, Marie Digby‘s album, Your Love, is now available stateside via digital distributors. The 14 track release is a mix of old and new material along with some instrumentals thrown into the mix. It kind of seems like more of a service to the fans than a full-blown release but if you find yourself ready and willing to reach for your wallet you can find the purchase options below.

Marie Digby has always had an avid interntional fan base so it shouldn’t have come as a surprise that she’s released an album in the Philippines called Your Love. There’s a few newer songs on there, like the title track and “I Do” which you can hear hear after the break. But there are also a number of songs on there from her previous releases, a move that I imagine is intended to introduce her newer fans to some of her older work. Digby will be announcing in the near future how you can get your hands on a copy stateside, so stay tuned!

Marie Digby Reveals “Your Love” [MV]
Here’s a pleasant surprise. Marie Digby (one of the earlier artists to gain buzz/recognition from Youtube) has just unveiled the music video for the title track from her upcoming album Your Love, due September 4th. The video was shot on location in the Philippines and first debuted on MYX TV but has now been released to the rest of the world online. It’s been a couple years since her last album (Breathing Underwater) so I’m looking forward to hearing her new work.

One of Youtube’s pioneering musicians has finally released some new material for the world to see/hear. Marie Digby‘s latest tune is called “Your Love” and has an upbeat/happy go lucky feel that could very well be the perfect remedy to a bad day. Personally I’ve always loved Marie the most when she’s strips away the production and keeps it simple; this video doesn’t dissapoint. Welcome back Marie!

The talented and beautiful Marie Digby recently sat down to talk with ChannelAPA. She talks about how she fell in love with music, her album Breathing Underwater, being involved with Lilith Fair, and some projects that are in the works. It looks like we can expect a new japanese language album along with her 3rd english album in the states in the near future. It’s good to hear from her!

Marie Digby Sings “Loving You is Easy”
Marie is back with a new original! She explains that her best friend is getting married next month and asked her if she could sing at the ceremony. So she put together this song in honor of the soon to be newlyweds and has shared it with the rest of the world today via youtube. Sure it’s a little sappy, but it’s perfectly fitting.
