Mike-Dash-E Debuts the Video for “Why They Never Say My Name”

You could say Mike-Dash-E‘s latest is project is bigger than music, and I wouldn’t argue with you. Rather than pointing all the focus at himself, MDE chose to take his talents and use it to spotlight some of the conditions of the poorest areas in the world. His music video is shot in the Smokey Mountain of the Philippines, giving us a personal glimpse of a third world. When the single officially drops, proceeds will go towards the Malaya Kids Ministries.

Shot straight from the 3rd World MDE takes to one of the poorest places in the world, Smoky Mountain Philippines. Here he gives you a vivid picture of the struggles that children and families face trying to survive in a land with little opportunity. The video is dedicated to the children at Malaya Kids Ministries please donate to them, proceeds from this song which is avail on i-Tunes soon will go to the foundation, Malaya Kids.

Watch a Short Documentary on Young Chariz – Drop the Curtain

This video isn’t so much a documentary as it is a video recap of Young Chariz’s album release/birthday party festivities, but it’s a dope watch because you get to see a lot of behind the scenes footage surrounding the show. Plus there are appearances by a lot of other artists including Mike-Dash-E and Jayne Rio, among others. It’s always encouraging to see artists show love to one another and keep things in the family.

Mike-Dash-E Features for Nolan Rashawn on “Stay Wit Me”

MDE jumped on a smooth R&B joint by Nolan Rashawn, providing the requisite intermediary Rap verse. Overall, it’s a pretty dope track, hailing back to the better days in R&B of decades past. “Stay Wit Me” used to be available as a free DL, but it’s already reached it’s DL limit. But maybe you’ll luck out by the time you read this and there will be more download slots available. Check Soundcloud.

Mike-Dash-E Updates “Ripped” for 2012

Back during the year of the tiger (2010), MDE dropped the single “Ripped” that would later appear on this Dash With Me album from 2011. Now in the new year, Dash and company have updated the song for 2012 with some of his Bay area companions. Same beat, but new verses and guest features. Check out the remix via the Youtube clip below.

Mike-Dash-E Drops the #IAMHUSTLE Mixtape

The Bay’s MDE just dropped a new mixtape, #IAmHustle. The 14 track+1 bonus project contains some unheard work and includes collabs with a few artists like Paul Kim, among others. There are also some cuts that were previously released including “Super Star“, “Turning Tables” and more. If you’re interested, you can DL the project here for free. Lastly, the MV for the intro is available for viewing directly below.

Mike-Dash-E Shares a “Super Star”

“Super Star” is the latest leak off Mike-Dash-E‘s upcoming #IAMHUSTLE project. This one is a laid back track with a soulful Hip-Hop instrumental (courtesy of Lambo Beats) – a style I can always appreciate. Should be interesting to hear what else comes our away as the release date approaches but as is, it’s so far, so good.

Mike-Dash-E Features for Skuba on “Raging”

Bay area rapper Mike-Dash-E has a guest spot on a new track called “Raging” by Skuba for his Tuning Out project. This is a different MDE than what you may be accustomed to, as the track takes on an electro-hop feel reminiscent of FM and a lot of tracks that have been popular on the radio as of late. It’s quite the departure for the MC. Feel free to tell us what you think!

Mike-Dash-E Features on Barnone’s “I Can Do Anything” MV

You’re gonna have to excuse the tardiness, this just found our way to us even though the video was released over a month ago. “I Can Do Anything” is a track that Mike-Dash-E featured on for Barnone, along with Uptown Swuite. It’s a more classic sounding Hip-Hop track and well… I always have a soft spot for the style. MV quality is middling but to be honest I didn’t even care, it’s a dope listen either way.
