Mega Youtube Cover Round-Up – 10/12/2011

This here’s a big one. A dozen Youtube covers and remixes for your viewing/listening enjoyment. Some are better than others, in general I’ve loosely ordered them in descending order starting with the most enjoyed first. You all already know how I feel about the superfluous number of covers out there but regardless, don’t let me stop you!

Mike Isberto Shares “I Remember Falling”

Mike Isberto continues to up his Youtube game with this latest semi-MV for his original song “I Remember Falling”. The guy has a knack for choosing some great locations for these performance clips though the lines between clip and MV are becoming increasingly blurred. The sharp visuals tell of their DSLR nature and the song is very much in the style of what we’ve come to expect and appreciate from Mike.

Mike Isberto Shares “How Simple”

Mike Isberto is truly developing a penchant for putting together simple but effective public performance videos. Here’s him singing the opening track to his EP released last year, Fly. It’s another great collaboration with percussionist Jordan DeGuzman. For this vid, they chose to perform at a train station, adding great atmosphere to the acoustic performance.

New Mike Isberto Original – “Unexpected”

Mr. Isberto makes another return with an acoustic performance of a song he calls “Unexpected”. Similar to his last video, it features just him on the guitar on vocals accompanied by a friend on the percussion. This format works very well for the singer and adds a lot of appeal to his videos. A simple but strong release all around.

Mike Isberto Performs New Single “Don’t Know How to Be Alone”

Where has Mike Isberto been? It’s been months since we last heard from the guy! Well, here’s some new material from Mikey called “Don’t Know How to Be Alone” in the form of a live alley way performance. I’m loving this track and it’s great to hear him accompanied by some percussion. This is one of Mike’s more energetic songs but the style seems to suit him well. Hope he releases a studio version of this track soon.

Mike Isberto Covers Far East Movement’s “Rocketeer”

As Far East Movement’s newest track “Rocketeer” catches air waves everywhere, You tube videos have been uploaded non stop on covers of this addictive song. Singers like the ever so talented Mike Isberto, who is known for his great covers and unique voice, also decided to put his own twist on the song and it’s ridiculously smooth. The acoustic cover not only showcases his talent but also sheds some lime light on his hidden talent; free flow. The cover finishes strong and it’s great alternative to the original.

Mike Isberto Releases EP – Fly

I’ve been saying for the last couple years since I first discovered Mike Isberto’s work that I can’t wait to hear some official studio recordings because the majority of what I’ve heard from him is via Youtube. The day has finally come and he has officially dropped his new EP Fly. This release has 6 tracks and I can’t wait till I get back from vacation to check them out. You should too, as they are now available on iTunes and AmazonMP3. Don’t sleep!

Mike Isberto Sings “Find a Way”

It’s another new original from the acoustic wonder Mike Isberto, and it’s called “Find a Way”. He explains that it was co-written with another favorite of ours, Melissa Polinar. Personally I was feeling this one, and I imagine most of you will feel the same. He’s informed us that an EP is in the works; hopefully this one makes the cut. Also, I’m hoping we get to hear him duet with MP too.

Mike Isberto Reveals “Dandelion Stems”

Mr Isberto is back again with a new soothing acoustic original entitled “Dandelion Stems”. Mike has informed us that an EP is in the works, so hopefully a lot of these great tracks he’s been putting up on Youtube will make their way into his studio release.  I’ve always been a fan of his style and this release doesn’t give me any reason to change that.

Lyrics after the break.
