Knewdles of the Misnomer(s) Featured on “Primyl Vinyl” by Tots and Hooch

The MC half of the Misnomer(s) has a feature guest spot on “Primyl Vinyl”, a track by Tots and Hooch for the Jim Cady EP. For those who follow Knewdles, this is def a different sound from the music she would usually be on. Genre-hopping aside, I think it was a pretty decent track and a refreshing switch up for the BK rapper. You can check it out and DL via the widget below.

Misnomer(s) Interviews w/ ChannelAPA

Ever wanted to know more about the sister hip-hop duo Misnomer(s)? You should peep this new interview with ChannelAPA. They break everything down from how they first got their start in Hip-Hop, to their identity as a group, their album, and more. It’s a great opportunity to gain a little insight behind the two, especially for those who aren’t too familiar with them.

The Misnomer(s) Interview w/ The Mad Bloggers

NY based sister Hip-Hop duo Misnomer(s) has always been a group that caught my interest, specifically because they buck so many trends that it’s hard to even keep track. But I was able to learn a little more about them through this interview w/ The Mad Bloggers. It provides a candid glimpse of the dynamic they share not only as band members, but as friends, and most of all sisters… and everything that comes with the territory. If you’re interested you can catch it in full after the break or by heading over to TMB.

The end of the month is upon us and that means the new album, American I(s) by Misnomer(s) has finally dropped. The album is quite full, coming in at a healthy 17 tracks which you can purchase in either digital or physical formats. If you wanna sample before you buy you can do so via the widget below. These sisters have carved out an interesting niche for themselves in an otherwise crowded market, so it’d be interesting to hear how this album turned out.

Heather Park x Misnomer(s) Collab in the Works

That’s right. These talented Asian-American women of New York, singer Heather Park & Knewdles of Misnomer(s), are working on a track together! It looks like this is going to be on Heather’s album Stay, scheduled to be released soon (in May). I’m really looking forward to this collab. It’s awesome to see these ladies holding down their own!

Misnomer(s) Featured In Video Game Ad for Def Jam Rapstar

The Misnomer(s) have been featured in an ad for the upcoming video game “Def Jam Rap Star”. They have a couple shots in the ad and it’s awesome to see them representing! Let’s hope one day their songs will be in the actual game too. These girls are no strangers to being featured in ads as they’ve done work for other companies such as Target as well.

Misnomer(s) Release Performance Highlight Reel

It’s cool to see some more live footage of the duo. They are definitely active on their home front. They have an organic old school hip-hop kinda vibe about them though I’d like to hear them switch things up now and then (kinda like Knewdles collab w/ Bridget Barkan). A lot of their material sounds similar. But props to them for doing their thing. Especialy that Target ad, awesome placement!

On a side note, I just realized these girls are maaaad skinny, especially Knewdles. haha

KNEWDLES (of Misnomers) x Bridget Barkan Perform “Dear Stranger”

The MC half of the group Misnomer(s) recently performed as a featuring vocal on Bridget Barkan’s song ‘Dear Stranger’. KNEWDLES spits a verse and the two artists performed to much fanfare and justly so. It’s a pretty nice song.

My only complaint is that it was kinda awkward for KNEWDLES to just stand there for a couple minutes until her part came up.
