Megan Lee certainly has a penchant for working with some talented folk and adding to her list of collaborations is this new track with the acoustic duo Oak & Gorski. It’s a different, more laid back sound for Megan but one that still works, plus the video allows us to see a slightly goofier side to O&G. You can DL the song for free here.

Oak & Gorski Share “Find Me Soon”

Oak & Gorski have just posted up a new recording of “Find Me Soon”, one of their newer, yet-to-be-officially-released tracks. There’s no mistaking their sound, as this track has the sonic fingerprints of the duo all over it. It’s slow, moving and as always, perfectly anchored by that signature cello. Listen to the new recording below.

Duo Oak & Gorski have been somewhat quiet as of late, but they have been working on new music and acknowledge that a brand new album is in the works. It’s a slow, moody piece true to their style and you can hear it via the player below. Catch the lyrics after the break.
Critic’s Corner: Oak & Gorski – Love Destroyer
It’s been quite some time since our last Critic’s Corner album review, and quite frankly there are a number of reasons this is so but today marks the return of the feature. This is our 30th album review since a-Tunes started and we’ve decided to switch things up a little bit and change the format. We’ll dive more into this in our next post.
One of our first reviews was of Oak & Gorski’s debut album Good Advice, Bad Advice. Here we are two years later and they have a new EP that dropped at the end of 2010 called Love Destroyer. Being an EP, it clocks in at just under 20 minutes long, totaling 5 tracks. So how does it fair in comparison? Let’s find out.
Oak & Gorksi Featured in the Pacific Citizen

The Pacific Citizen has a great feature/interview on the folk rock duo Oak & Gorski. The article delves into their lives before the band was formed, their tour experiences both nationally and internationally, raising money to record their Love Destroyer EP and more. I really found it to be a great read, especially as a fan of the group. Check it out by either heading over to the PC or finding it in full after the jump.

Duo Ken Oak & Ed Gorski have released a cover of the classic Christmas hymn – “O Holy Night” . The song definitely shocases their signature acoustic sound, with great guitar & cello instrumentation really taking the spotlight. If you don’t appreciate the original song, this isn’t going to change your mind but for everyone else who isn’t sick of Christmas music yet, this track is a nice addition to the collection. It’s a free DL!
Oak & Gorski Release New EP – Love Destroyer
Acoustic duo Ken Oak & Ed Gorski have dropped their brand new EP that was first announced back in August called Love Destroyer. The 5 song EP is the first release since their debut as the newly renamed Oak & Gorski – Good Advice, Bad Advice. I’ve briefly heard the tracks and definitely think it’s an improvement since they first re-tooled their sound. Look for a review later this week. Pick up the EP from AmazonMP3 today!
Oak & Gorski Release “If I Could Tell You” for Free DL
For those of you who have been in want of new Oak & Gorski material you can thank your lucky stars because they have just made a single off their upcoming Love Destroyer EP a free download. It’s a pretty strong song and hopefully an indication of what’s to come. The cello especially takes stage front and center with it pretty much holding the entire song together. Oak & Gorski Need Your Help to Release “Love Destroyer”
As we reported, Oak & Gorski is getting ready to drop their new EP entitled “Love Destroyer” but they are asking for your help. Like some other artists we’ve featured in the past have done, they are using the fundraising site Kickstarter to try and raise some money over the next month to aid in the distribution, marketing and release of this EP. As incentives, they have some fun rewards that escalate accordingly by pledge amount. Check out their KS page for more details!
