Gowe Shares a Preview of the Upcoming ‘We Are HyperGiants’ Album

The Covers by Duets Youtube Round-Up 5/17/12

Two can play at that game? What game? I dunno, I just wanted to introduce the concept of two. Deuce. Double. 1+1. Snake Eyes. Duets. Because that’s what we’ve rounded-up for you today. This is all about about two musical artists covering songs both new and old and giving you two subjects to see and hear. This would have been more appropriate for a “Twos”day…. OK, sorry about that. Enjoy!

Jason Chen x Cathy Nguyen Cover “What Makes You Beautiful” by One Direction

The International Covers Youtube Round-Up – 5/15/12

As a nod to our fans from various nations abroad, we’ve put together yet another collection of international themed covers and remixes. Most are covers of songs from Asian Pop markets, with a couple translated tunes thrown in for good measure. Go ahead and have your pick at the batch, there’s bound to be a listen or two that will catch your fancy.

David So x Paul Kim x Jason Chen x Travis Graham Form The Runs

DANG. OK, I know we don’t really post about a single cover anymore, usually grouping them together in our round-ups instead, but this is one that SHOULD not go unnoticed. David So, together with Paul Kim, Jason Chen & Travis Graham (of New Heights), have formed an unofficial group known as ‘The Runs’ (Check below for the reasoning behind the name). The four of them tackle the classic Boyz II Men song, “On Bended Knee” and they kiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiilllllllt it. Slayed. Destroyed. Annihilated. If you’re a Youtube star, this song is now off limits because you’re not gonna top this.

This is the most random thing that we decided to do. We are the RUNS cause our music will make you shit yourself? LOL!

The International Cover/Remix Round-Up 4/8/12

Welcome to another remix/round-up! This time around, we are revisiting an international theme with all of the songs either remixes/covers/translations of Asian songs, or in one particular case, an English song sung in Chinese. It’s a pretty big melting pot of culture and languages – but that’s fairly representative of the world we live in. Go ahead and take a gander, I’m sure you’ll find something you enjoy in this collection!

This could be our biggest round-up yet. We’ve got more music videos of covers and remixes for you, so no one-take-sessions or studio sessions here. These are those Youtube videos where the audio and video were done at different times, requiring that much more work to bring you just a few minutes of entertainment a piece. So if you’ve got some time to kill, go through this playlist of 14 (yes, FOURTEEN) MVs across various genres. Which ones are your favorites?

Baiyu x Paul Kim Have Made “Make Believe”

Bi-coastal R&B Vocal heavyweights, Baiyu of NY and Paul Kim of California, have put together a new collab joint called “Make Believe”. If you ask me, this is a pairing that’s long overdue. Best of all, there’s supposedly an MV in the works too, which we’ll hopefully see in the next few weeks to a month or so. Now, if only the trifecta could be made complete with a live performance together too.

Passport: Paul Kim Releases “My Love (내 삶의 정답)” in Korea

As previously announced, Paul Kim has released his debut single in the Korean music market, “My Love (내 삶의 정답)”. Looks like Ailee wasn’t the only Korean-American to have their debut single MV released today! This is a mid-tempo Pop/Ballad with a short-film style music video to match – all staples of the KPop industry. Unfortunately Mr. Kim wasn’t able to appear in the video but let’s hope the song gains some traction out there and provide the R&B singer some additional opportunities abroad!

Official music video for my debut in Korea with XP Entertainment. Due to my hectic schedule I was unable to appear in the video, but I feel this video perfectly embodies what the song is about. I am so happy to release this song in my homeland!

Passport: Paul Kim to Release Single in Korea – “My Love (내 삶의 정답)”

It would appear that Paul Kim has an international debut in the works, with an upcoming single due out in Korea on February 8th – “My Love (내 삶의 정답)”. The clip above is the trailer for the music video and marks his first official release in the land immediately south of the 38th parallel. International fans, be on the lookout for this one!
