Peter Rocks of MyNinja! Interviews w/ BPMnet

Peter Hong, perhaps better known as instrumentalist/musician/entrepreneur Peter Rocks, got some spotlight of his own with an interview on BPMnet hosted by PK and Jazmin‘s Felicia Khong. Listen to him talk about the origin of his explosive clothing line and what it stands for today. This is a cool spotlight on one of our favorite apparel lines and a big part of our community’s growing music and arts culture. You can learn more about MyNinja! here.

Kero One x afterschoolspecial x IAMMEDIC x DJ Peter Rocks to Perform for My Ninja’s “The Endless Summer Party” – 7/22 in San Diego

There’s really not a whole lot to say except if you’re in SoCal tomorrow (the 22nd) then you want to be sure to make your way to the 10th Avenue Theater in San Diego. One of our favorite apparel brands, My Ninja Clothing, is hosting an event headlined by Kero One, afterschoolspecial, IAMMEDIC, and DJ Peter Rocks himself. I totally wish I could be there too but it’s on the wrong coast. The posted says part 1 of 2, so be on the lookout for another blowout event this summer! Deets after the break.

IAMMEDIC x My Ninja x FM Mashes Up KPOP

In promotion for their big 90′s KPOP party this Friday in LA, IAMMEDIC and Peter Rocks of MyNinja have decided to create a couple KPOP mashups, mixing in some current music with some old KPOP favorites. First up is IAMMEDIC with a track they call “Turn Around and Look at MEdic”, a mashup set to “나를 돌아봐” originally performed by Deux.

Second is Peter Rocks’ creation where he takes FM’s “Like a G6″ and mixes it in with Kin Gun Mo’s 잘못된 만남.

I liked both mixes a lot. It brings me back. I wouldn’t mind if they put together a whole compilation album of this nature haha. The “Like a G6″ mix in particular is a lot of fun.

Priscilla Ahn x KoreAm x The Mighty Fifty Present ‘Living In A Tree’ Live Performance

Presented by KoreAm Journal and produced by The Mighty Fifty, a live performance with Priscilla Ahn.

Late last year Priscilla Ahn did a live web show for KoreAm. The performances were shot by video production group The Mighty Fifty and they have released one of the numbers earlier today. Sound work was done by Peter Rocks (of My Ninja!) fame. I haven’t had a chance to check out the footage yet but all of the people involved rarely dissapoint so I doubt this will.

MyNinja! x FM x Pigeon John x Flynn Adam Release ‘The F.R.E.S.H.’ MV

Peter Rocks, musician & founder of MyNinja! released the official MV for the song ‘The F.R.E.S.H.’ from the ‘Endless Summer’ mixtape. It’s a fun video and a great testament to how far the brand has come in such a short time.

Here’s what he had to say about the MV:

My Ninja! Presents, “THE F.R.E.S.H.” featuring FM (FAR*EAST MOVEMENT), Pigeon John, & Flynn Adam off the My Ninja! “Endless Summer” Mixtape by Peter Rocks.

Yes, we know this video has been long over due. The footage from this video (although very different at times) reflects what My Ninja! has been working on in the past year. It seems kinda crazy that we first only launched this past February. Time flies when you’re having fun. Special thanks to Bgirl Shorty for making this video extra cool!
