Indie label Beatrock Music has dropped a remix album by Digital Martyrs featuring different spins on a whole bunch of songs by Power Struggle, Rocky Rivera, Bambu, Blue Scholars, Kiwi and more. These songs generally sound completely different from their originals so if you’re looking to hear a new perspective on some of your favorite Califorinia indie Hip-Hop songs then it’d behoove you to check this on out. If you were paying attention, you may have caught the video for “Artofficialfreedom” by Power Struggle back in August. Well fast forward a few months and they’ve dropped the official remix for both the song and video. The audio was mixed up by Digital Martyrs and add a great electric guitar infused beat to replace the original organ heavy production. The video contains footage from a session they held at SFSU. A pretty cool release all the way around.
Power Struggle, a Hip-Hop act out of California, has got a new MV out for their single “ArtOfficialFreedom”. They are fairly well known in some circles but I’m just now starting to get into their music. For those of you like me, this isn’t a bad introduction at all. It’s got that classic Hip-Hop sound and the video is real clean too. God Bless the DSLR. You can find this song off their Remittances album that dropped earlier this year.
