Quest Crew’s Feng and I.aM.mE Crew’s Moon Collab for Quick Video
We’re not always on top of posting up all the latest and greatest dance videos, but we thought this was worth sharing considering it’s a collab between members of two different winning crews from ABDC. Feng reps for Quest while Moon reps for I.aM.mE and together they’ve put together a piece of choreo called “It’s On”. Asian kids have come a long way from being known as the DDR champs.
Two Cents: GT’s Top 10 Performance Clips from 2011
OK. One week down in 2012, and 51 one left to go! We’re continuing our 2011 countdown series with a recap of my top 10 favorite performance clips from last year. The criteria for this list came down to a mixture factors, including the actual performance, the crowd response, production values, and sheer overall entertainment. The only other restriction was that the clip had to be released in the calendar year of 2011, even if the performance is from earlier. Lastly, click through till the end for a bonus pick that didn’t quite fit in my top 10 but shouldn’t be ignored.
Now, starting with my number 10 pick, we have…
10. April Chase – “All You Need to Say” (article)
Ever since first discovering April Chase a couple years ago, they quickly became one of my favorite Pop/Rock bands. The group encompasses radio friendly hooks with a great rock foundation, wrapped up with Carina Valdes’ sweet but gutsy vocals. The only thing the above clip that is missing, was an audience to appreciate the unplugged rendition of “All You Need to Say” from their EP, Still Breathing. It’s always a blessing when a rock group still sounds just as fun and engaging without the benefit of studio polish.
Quest Crew Dances to “Horizon” by Francesco Novara x Violette
This is a pretty cool way to close out your night. Members of Quest Crew decided to set their art to the music of Francesco Novara & Violette, filming their moves with some nifty Go Cameras and an DSLR. There are some pretty awesome shots here, nevermind the fact they are in constant acrobatic motion to begin with. Steve Terada, Ryan Feng and Ryan Conferido are the three members representing in this visual piece.
Quest Crew Once Again Features for LMFAO on “Sexy and I Know It”
LMFAO seems to be quite fond of the rhythmic techniques of the Quest Crew as they’ve once again enlisted the help of the troupe for their latest music video – “Sexy and I Know It”. The official video just had it’s premiere and features it’s fair share of LMFAO signature antics and general party-oriented chaos. Oh, and there’s a lot of skin. You’ve been warned. But congrats to Quest for continuing their great streak of high-profile gigs.
Just ‘Cause: Who is Victor King?
We jump on every opportunity to share a little bit more behind the artists and music figures that you know and love; the latest being none other than Victor Kim (aka Victor King?), perhaps best known as part of the ABDC Season 3 champions Quest Crew. Victor created this video for this an undisclosed project but decided to post this up for the world to see as well. The dancer/musician talks a little bit about who he is and how he’s come to this point in life, from both a persona and professional standpoint. You should definitely check this video out; it’s a great addition to our Just ‘Cause feature.
Quest Crew Performs with LMFAO on So You Think You Can Dance
Here’s a little clip of the Quest Crew, backing up the party rap group LFMAO for their performance of “Party Rock Anthem” on a recent episode of Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. It’s basically an extension of LFMAO’s music video where the Quest boys were also heavily featured in. SYTYCD is the perfect venue for the crew, where some of the members have even competed before becoming notorious for their ABDC win in season 3.

Victor Kim x Yuri Tag Star in McDonald’s Advert
Quest Crew’s Victor Kim & Kaba Modern’s Yuri Tag both recently got placed in a new McDonald’s ad campaign for their new Strawberry Lemonade product. Of course they got to do what they do best, albeit in just a span of roughly 30 seconds but it’s always awesome to see our stars being recognized for their talents. Congrats to them both!
Quest Crew Features in MV for RJD2′s “Might As Well Step Forward” MV
RJD2, one of my favorite producer/musicians has dropped an MV for his track “Might as Well Step Forward” from his album Inversions of the Colossus, released last year. Why is this on a-Tunes you ask? Well the first thing you may notice is that the video features a little known dance troupe known as the Quest Crew. The MV is basically a stage for them to perform to RJ’s production. Dope visuals to a dope track.

Quest Crew Performs “Airstrike” in Melbourne, Australia
Although we would love it, there just isn’t enough time in the day to follow all the amazing AA dancers and their many performances. But every once in a while comes a set that is too ridiculous not to share. ABDC’s season 3 winners Quest Crew recently shared a new performance clip from one of their shows in the land down under. They dubbed the routine “Airstrike”, and well, let’s just say it left me yelling “OOOOOOHHHHHHH” more than a few times. It’s hard to argue that these fellas (and lady too, Lydia) really know how to choreograph and put on a great show.
Tell me that wasn’t siiiiick.
Paul Dateh, Joseph Vincent, Quest Crew, PK, Clara Chung, Kaba Modern & Jennifer Chung to Perform at Benefit Concert in NJ

Look at that line up. Great musicians performing great music for a great cause. Paul Dateh, Joseph Vincent, Quest Crew, comedian Paul PK Kim, Clara Chung, Kaba Modern & Jennifer Chung are all coming together to support the fight against hepatitis B. They will be performing at Rutgers University on September 28th but attendance of the Art Exhibit the day prior is mandatory for entrance to the concert. If it weren’t for the fact that Rutgers is 4 hours away and it’s the middle of a work week, I would totally be there… but for all of you in or around Jersey, don’t miss this show. Find out more information here.
