The 5th installment of the Kollaboration competition in ATL may only be days away (Saturday, February 14th!), but they contestants have put together a promo music video, following Kollab tradition. They chose to remix Flo-Rida’s “Good Feeling”, with nods to Etta James, Avicii and Skrillex. Clara C & Adam WarRock (past Kollab winners) will be representing as guest performers at Saturday’s show. Legaci Releases Acoustic Version of “All Day”
Although they have a new album in the works, Driven, that hasn’t stopped Legaci from releasing this little bonus track – an acoustic rendition of their single “All Day“. In fact, they’ve even put together the following music video for the song and after a couple listens, I just might like this version better than the original- it lets their R&B vocals come to the forefront. Look out for the cameo from Summerbreeze in the video!

Welcome to another remix/round-up! This time around, we are revisiting an international theme with all of the songs either remixes/covers/translations of Asian songs, or in one particular case, an English song sung in Chinese. It’s a pretty big melting pot of culture and languages – but that’s fairly representative of the world we live in. Jasmine V‘s team has unveiled an interactive music video that allows you to have some limited input and participation into the outcome of the visuals of the remix to “Just a Friend“. Kollaboration Boston 2 Releases Promo Music Videos – Show Set for April 21st
The Kollaboration Boston 2 contestants have followed tradition and put together a promotional music video. This year’s song is Beyonce’s “Love on Top” and a remix of Childish Gambino’s “Heartless”. Andy Kim, Concept Artists, Fusion, Justin Chiou, K-Soul, Uprising, and Yui Mugino will be playing, singing, and dancing in direc competition against one another for this year’s bragging rights and a thousand dollars. Music Video Tuesday! Ok, that’s not a real thing, but that’s our theme of today’s round-up of Youtube video covers. Admittedly, the last video isn’t exactly a music video so much as it is a gigantic mash-up of footage. But when you’re dealing with 50 different artists and trying to work all those clips together, we figure it’s just as much work as any other MV production, so we’ve gone ahead and included it too. Go Behind the Scenes of the Far East Movement’s “Live My Life” MV Shoot
The Far East Movement recently shot the MV for their latest single “Live My Life” featuring Justin Bieber while in Amsterdam. The particular version getting the video treatment is the Party Rock Remix also featuring Redfoo of LMFAO. The Party Rock Crew is in attendance as well, meaning members of the Quest Crew will have some screen time as well. And in other news, the Dirty Bass album has been given an official release date – May 8th, which is of course subject to change.
The Non-HD Youtube Covers Round-Up – 3/19/12
It wasn’t too long ago that the majority of the videos we saw on Youtube were grainy, low resolution videos taken from webcams, compact cameras, and cell phones. But now, these types of videos are almost a minority as many artists have moved on to newer video recording devices. Even still, there are a few hold outs that are sticking to their tried and true capturing methods and the following round-up is a collection of such clips. So if things look dim and blurry, no worries, it’s not your screen, it’s just some out-dated technology!
