D-Pryde Debuts MV for “Start Again” (Dir. by Rik Cordero)

D-Pryde & Rik Cordero are proving to be a formidable 1-2 punch in the Audio/Visual department. Their latest collaborative work is the music video for “”Start Again” – a cut from D’s upcoming mixtape, Flagship (due in June). Cordero continues with his simplistic but polished brand of direction to effectively emphasize the positive and uplifting tone of the track. I gotta say, Prizzy continues to impress me with his growth as an artist.

Here it is, the music video a lot of you have been waiting for. Rik and I had a very simple vision for the video; I hope you hear the message.

We all have our struggles, but remember that there are others in the world that share them too. If we just believe in better days we can all inspire each other. Be thankful for what you have instead of what you don’t. This is for everyone who has experienced a bad day. At the end of all the negativity you can go to bed, wake up the next moment, and Start Again.

My new mixtape “Flagship” will be out June 3rd 2012. A new start, with new music and a new message. Watch out.

Enjoy.

- D-Pryde

PS. This video was directed by Rik Cordero. Big thanks to him for providing the visual for what is my most important song. He believes in me so much and I’m so thankful to have him part of the team. Thank you Rik.

D-Pryde Premieres the “Priorities” MV (Directed by Rik Cordero)

I’m always a fan of concept videos, and the latest combination of D-Pryde and Rik Cordero on the audio and visuals respectively yields a fresh take on the rap battle. Interestingly enough, the entire production is actually an extended commercial for Pryde’s new snapbacks – available from his online store. You honestly can’t go wrong on the video front when you got Cordero in your camp.

D-Pryde x August Rigo Release the “Big Shot” MV Directed by Rik Cordero

This is yet another collaboration between Prizzy and director Rik Cordero. It’s a good look to have him in this corner because the visuals for the August Rigo assisted “Big Shot” are on point – but I suppose that’s only to be expected from the seasoned videographer. The song has a more R&B/Drake-ish type of feel to it though it’s kind of refreshing to hear a mellowed out D who typically spits with an aggressive tenacity.

D-Pryde Releases Rik Cordero Directed MV – “Outro Flow”; Signs on to Tour with J. Cole

Don’t say we didn’t tell you it was coming! The highly anticipated Rik Cordero directed MV for D-Pryde‘s “Outro Flow” song from his recent Mars Mixtape has just released. It’s a simple and well done visual for a simple and well done track; very fitting and something I can definitely appreciate.

But in perhaps even bigger news, D-Pryde has just announced that he will be going on an 8-stop tour in Canada with quickly rising rap star, J. Cole! You can find out more information after the break. A huge congrats to Prizzy for two huge milestones.

Famed director Rik Cordero is reportedly the creative driving force behind D-Pryde‘s next MV for his single “Outro Flow” off the Mars Mixtape released recently. Shooting wrapped earlier this week and the music video is hinted as dropping in the near future so stay tuned because this sounds like something you don’t want to miss. Pryde has had a huge year and his career milestones only continue to grow; can’t wait to see the final product!

SUNZOO Releases 2nd Version of “Get Down” MV

SUNZOO must have thought that one MV wasn’t enough for their single “Get Down”. The first dropped a couple months back, directed by Rik Cordero. The new version goes in a completely different direction with a combination of live footage, green screen work, and kinetic typography. It’s a dope song with two pretty dope videos, I guess the only question is which one do you like more?

SUNZOO Drops the “Get Down” MV

It’s only been a week but they’ve done it again. New international super group SUNZOO have just dropped a new MV for the single “Get Down”. Directed by Rik Cordero, we got Illmind on the beat, Roscoe Umali, Tasha, and Tiger JK on the mic. I’m loving the old school bar/lounge motif too. These truly are a collection of veterans that haven’t lost a thing. I’m legit excited for every single release from them.

Just ‘Cause: Inside The Craft – “T.A.S.A. Columbia University: Asian Americans In Media”

Don’t know how I missed this one, but thankfully the fine folks at ChannelAPA caught this one a few weeks back. This is some footage from an event at Columbia Univeristy where a panel was held on Asian American’s in the media. They got a truly influential group of people to participate including Jin, Miss Info, Illmind and Rik Cordero. From the looks of it, it also may have served as a springboard for some future collaboration among the artists with their respective mediums. We may be late to report this but if you haven’t seen this clip either, it’s an encouraging watch.
