Youtube stars AJ Rafael and JRA team up with Tori Kelly (Whom you may have seen briefly on American Idol) for a cover of FM’s latest single “Rocketeer” originally featuring Ryan Tedder. I’m loving this collab as it flips the style of the song into a semi-jazzy acoustic pop number and even features a little rap from AJ. What? AJ rapping? That’s right… so don’t miss out! FM Releases the “Rocketeer” MV ft. Ryan Tedder
Here it is! “Rocketeer” is arguably one of the most popular singles off FM’s major label debut album Free Wired and I can’t help but to agree – it really is a strong single. That’s why I was excited to hear that it was going to be the follow up single to “Like a G6” as I actually find it to be a much more enjoyable song anyways. So to properly push the new single, FM did a proper music video featuring guest vocalist Ryan Tedder of One Republic fame. It’s a pretty dope release all the way around. The end kind of reminds me of the film Radio Flyer, if anyone remembers that one. Glad to see this single get the proper video support!
Paul Dateh x Dawen Cover FM’s “Rocketeer”
It’s AA love all around. Paul Dateh & Dawen put down a smooth jazzy cover of the Far East Movement’s new single “Rocketeer” off their Free Wired album, originally featuring Ryan Tedder of One Republic. I’m loving this version, it’s completely different, plays to the strengths of both musicians and still gives the nod to the fellas from FM. I wouldn’t mind seeing a Dateh x Dawen EP!
Jason Chen x J. Reyez Remix FM’s “Rocketeer” [Free DL]
It’s been less than a week since FM’s album dropped with the catchy single “Rocketeer” featuring Ryan Tedder but Youtube staples J. Reyez & Jason Chen have decided to get together and cover, including a music video. The original is a great song but this one is really pretty decent too. JC & JR make a good team, they should work together more. The MV isn’t anything out of the ordinary but I’m liking some of the night time city shots. Keep an eye out for Jason’s goofy antics towards the end of the track. Both the song and video are available as free DL’s, so if you’re feeling it then make sure to grab em!
