Rocky Rivera x Irie Eyez Debut the MV for “GRLZ”
Those that grabbed the Pop Killer Mixtape from last summer by Rocky Rivera should be familiar with the song “GRLZ”, featuring Irie Eyez. If not, you can get acuainted with the track courtesy of her latest music video. As you can imagine from the song name, this is an all-female affair. The video is cleanly edited and a pretty good representation of the song. Check out some of her other songs from Pop Killer, like “SF City Retrospect” and “Slick Talk“.

Nump Releases the ‘Do Not Disturb’ Mixtape
With a relatively quiet second half to 2011, the 454 camp looks to be making some noise again with their latest release – the Nump Trump helmed mixtape, Do Not Disturb. There’s a bunch of features on here including Rocky Rivera and Bay area veteran Mistah Fab along with several others. Hip-Hop artist Rocky Rivera makes an ever so brief cameo in the new music video for “Tattoo Song” by Eligh & Amp Live. For what purpose? To show case her ink, of course. Always encouraging to see dope artists supporting other dope artists, especially in Hip-Hop – a genre often divided on so many levels. It’s just too bad she didn’t have a part in the record as well!
Rocky Rivera x Davinci Go On a “SF City Retrospect”
Here are the latest visuals from the bay’s Rocky Rivera (formerly known as Eyeasage) and Davinci for their collab “SF City Retrospect” from RR’s Pop Killer release. The video is crisp, well shot, and a fitting match to the violin laced piece of audible Frisco memorabilia. I ain’t even from SF but I can appreciate a hometown anthem such as this. Rocky Rivera x Digital Martyrs Leak the North Bay Remix to “SF Retrospect”
At the end of this past Spring, Rocky Rivera dropped a project called the Pop Killer mixtape including the song “SF Retrospect” featuring Davinci; an ode to her home stomping grounds of the Bay. It never got pushed as a single but it’s been given the official remix treatment courtesy of Digital Martyrs, retaining the nostalgic feel of the original but still managing to switch up the sound. Here’s a quick little street video for Rocky Rivera‘s “Slick Talk”, a remix joint over a Dilla instrumental from her free mixtape Pop Killer released last week. The full version features Bambu on the track but this video clip just showcases Rock’s verse; who, by the way, goes in harder than a lot of MC’s in recent memory. It would have been sweet to see a full MV for the whole song but this clip is a dope watch in of itself.
