This is really turning out to be a MV filled Thursday. This one features acoustic Hip-Rock group Saving Thomas for their single “Symphony” off their album Road to Emmaus, released in the second half of last year. This particular song has a guest vocal from Gloria Chung who adds a raspy but effeminate flavor, nicely complementing Dave Bak’s rhymes. This was definitely one of the better joints of the LP and it’s good to see it get an official visual treatment.

Saving Thomas x Decipher x Jason Min Are “Reaching Out”
Philly stand up! Three staples of the AA music scene in the Illadelph have collabed on a new track called “Reaching Out”. You got band Saving Thomas, rapper Decipher and one-man show Jason Min all one track, mixed and mastered courtesy of Andy Ha (Repercussion Studios). Just wanted to share this track with you now, but I’ll have to update with my thoughts on it later after I get a chance to hear it myself.
[update] Just heard the track. I gotta say, I’m a pretty big fan. On paper it’s kind of an odd mix of talent but they all blended together beautifully here and created a pretty great song. Props to everyone involved, this is a winner. [/update]

It’s our honor here at a-Tunes to share with you Inspire 2011, set for January 22nd at KUMC GW in Northern Virginia. I’m sure many of you don’t know what Inspire is, well let me share with you their mission statement.
The Parliament x Saving Thomas Perform the “Reflections” Remix
The Parliament, consisting of Philip & Dong Woo, were contestants in this year’s first ever Kollaboration DC event along with Dave Bak of the band Saving Thomas. The Parliament performed a song called “Reflections” which they did a quick remix to featuring Dave on one of his recent visits to Maryland. It works really well and makes me think they should go into the studio and lay it down as an official track. It’s got a lot of potential.
