Jin Releases the MV for “Angels”
Back in May Jin released his latest mixtape entitled Say Something including the track “Angels”. Well today he’s just dropped the official MV for said track featuring him in various locales around the city using an interesting cinematography style giving the entire thing a time-lapse type of feel. He chose a good song to make the MV for, I just wish there was more variety in the video. But this is a song with a message, so I guess the audio is much more important than the visuals anyway.
Jin Drops the Say Something Mixtape
Jin’s been talking about it for a while now, but today’s the day and it’s finally here. His new mixtape entitled Say Something is now available for free DL. The album’s got 8 tracks, including the title joint. So what are you waiting for? Grab it HERE.
In other news, voting is closed for the 2010 Hip Hop Census mixtape. Look for the results of that contest to be announced in the near future along with the full mixtape.
Jin Reveals New Say Something Mixtape Cover; Previews Tracks
Jin announced earlier this year that he’s looking to drop a new mixtape entitled Say Something. He’s revealed the official album cover, shared a couple more deatils, and posted up the title track for your streaming pleasure on both Myspace and Youtube. You can hear the title single below. From what we’ve heard so far, I feel like Jin’s grown as a writer but lost a little bit of the edge and tenacity he had from his younger years, though I’ll leave my final thoughts until after the mixtape drops in full “soon”.

Roscoe Umali Drop’s New Remix Track for DL – ‘Same Something’
I’m sure many of you are familiar with the Timbaland x Drake collab track ‘Say Something’, well Roscoe decided to jump on the beat and spit a verse too. If you guys don’t follow the dude on twitter you should cause he drops gems like these all the time for free download. Roscoe always commands the mic, even though this isnt an official track or anything it’s still a great listen.
Jin Previews New Untitled Demo from Say Something Mixtape
Jin’s got another track to preview off his upcoming Say Something mixtape. It’s still currently untitled but he’s spitting over the famous Jay x Rihanna x Kanye ‘Run This Town’ instrumental. I’m really digging how everything he’s previewed so far has some real content in it. Jin’s really progressed as an artist, from battle MC, to commercial Ruff Ryders material, to raw underground with a mixture of both to social commentary and introspection. I’m definitely intrigued as to how this project will turn out upon release.
Jin Previews New Track – ‘Beautiful Story’
Jin’s announced that he’s got a new mixtape in the works called Say Something and he’s posted up a rough preview of one of the tracks. This one is tentatively entitled ‘Beautiful Story’ and is set to the instrumental of Eminem’s “Beautiful”, one of my favorite cuts from his last album.
It’s a simple autobiographical track of how Jin came up in the game and how he’s gotten to where he is today. I really like the concept but there are definitely a lot of elements that are pretty rough. It’s understandable though since this is just a demo, uncut webcam preview. With a some polish in the right places this could be a pretty great song.
