Lil Crazed Releases the “Put It On Ya” MV

“Put It On Ya” is the latest MV from Lil Crazed in promotion of his Chapter 3: Liberation mixtape. This one is an R&B track but with a dance beat, so of course some choreo had to be implemented. Production values are generally strong and it’s good to see him mix it up a little bit, with the added dance & story elements. You can catch the making of feature after the break. The video was produced by Scott Yoshimoto & The Dreamlapse Project.

On a semi-related note, the Liberation: The Lost Tapes project has been released. Get it on iTunes & Amazon.

Snapshot: Jason Chen x Paul Dateh x Dawen @ Disneyland

Jason Chen x Paul Dateh x Dawen

We came across this cool photo taken by Scott Yoshimoto of Jason Chen, Paul Dateh, and Dawen standing in line at Disneyland in Southern California during a recent excursion with other friends/musicians. We can always appreciate it when artists don’t just collaborate, but befriend one another as well; developing a close-knit community. Plus those expressions in the picture are priceless. My Own Show Epsiode 4 – Can’t Keep Running ft Nessa Rica, Carissa Rae & More

Scott Yoshimoto’s pet project My Own Show has really started to take off. Today is the debut of their 4th episode of the musical and features guest star Nessa Rica. The show has definitely come into it’s own, following a winning formula similar to Glee (in a way). Along with Nessa, this episode features Carissa Rae as one of the main characters and an appearance by Scott Yoshimoto. Get caught up with the rest of the episodes here.

In related news, check out this new cover by Nessa, Carissa, and Jasmine Rafael!

Scott & Alexa Yoshimoto Cover “Pray” (For Japan)

There are a number of artists who have already shown their support for Japan as they recover from the crazy natural disasters and resulting chaos, but this one in particular struck a chord with me. Siblings Scott & Alexa Yoshimoto have just completed their first cover video together and its of the Justin Bieber song “Pray”, only now attached to the greater cause of supporting the land of the rising sun.

This is actually the first YouTube cover together with my sister, and we wanted to make it a meaningful one. Nothing brings people together like the power of music, and the people of Japan could use all the hope and support they can get. So please #prayforjapan and spread awareness and hope by sharing our video with everybody you love, life is too crazy and unpredictable to forget that.

Scott Yoshimoto Releases the “Cupid’s Day” MV

AJ’s music video wasn’t the only MOVeMEDIA Production release today, as Scott decided to throw in his own original too. The video for this one isn’t nearly as elaborate as what he did for AJ, but it still fit the chill vibe of the song well. I can’t say this is the best song I ever heard but it certainly is one of Scott’s better ones. He has a tendency to dip into corny territory with his originals but this one stayed mostly in the sweet category. If you like the song check back tomorrow because it will be available as a free download for Valentine’s Day ONLY. Otherwise you can cop it on iTunes afterwards.

AJ Rafael x MOVeMEDIA Release the “We Could Happen” MV

OK folks, here it is. After a couple weeks of anticipation since the official announcement we have AJ Rafael’s latest MV for his single -”We Could Happen“. Everything about this song and video is sugary sweet and lovey-dovey but you know what? I actually kinda dig it. Also, AJ sure knows how to pick pretty girls for his videos haha. Look for cameos from David Choi, Scott Yoshimoto, Casey Nishizu & more!

AJ Rafael x MOVeMEDIA Release “We Could Happen” MV Trailers

AJ Rafael tends to link up with talented people for his videos. First he worked with Wong Fu Productions, and now he’s teamed up with Scott Yoshimoto & MoveMedia to bring you the music video for “We Could Happen” MV. Back in September of last year he shared the song but now the video will drop on the 13th on Scott’s channel and on the 14th on iTunes. It looks like it’s gonna be an upbeat tune & video, complete with scenes at the skating rink, Disneyland and more. Can’t wait for the final product(s) to drop!

Check out the other two teasers after the break!

Casey Nishizu x Scott Yoshimoto Collab on New Original – “My Star”

Casey Nishizu & Scott Yoshimoto are two multi-talented personalities who have been known to collab often in the past. Their latest joint creation is a little ditty they call “My Star”. Like much of their work, it’s a very pop-friendly, easily accesible type of tune that you would hear on Nick or the Disney channel. They have similar voices and singing styles, so it’s a no-brainer that they would sound pretty decent together. It’s a little too gentle for my tastes but I imagine many of you will appreciate their boy-band like vocals!

afterschoolspecial x Taiyo Na x Magnetic North x MOVeMedia Release the “Be” MV

For the second single off their It’s All In Your Head debut full length album, afterschoolspecial has chosen to push the song “Be”, complete with a proper music video treatment. The track features New York artists Taiyo Na and Derek of Magnetic North and makes extensive use of a comic book motif. The single itself is sick. It’s a great collection of artists and a great rap/rock song overall. I thought the video itself was pretty decent, thanks in part to Scott Yoshimoto and his MOVeMEDIA group, but it wasn’t quite as polished as their video with Wong Fu.
