The Youtube Pop Covers Round-Up – 1/27/12
Happy Friday! This is yet another collection of youtube covers, this time around the centralizing genre is Pop. There are some extremely creative visuals here, along with some of the more run-of-the-mill-and-sing-in-front-of-a-webcam varieties, but all in all there’s a little something for everyone. We’ve got tunes from various decades, dating back from the 70′s – so it’s kind of interesting to hear what was and is Pop. Enjoy!

The Songs of Faith Youtube Round-Up – 1/5/12
We noticed that several artist had recently sang some covers of songs that deal with faith and God, and decided it was an opportune time time to round ‘em up and share them with you. Nothing too fancy here, just honest, heartfelt vocals with production values on the humble side of things. But in these cases, I suppose it’s the heart that matters more than the presentation. Enjoy.

Summerbreeze Shares “It’s You I See”
Guitarist/singer Summerbreeze decided to share a new original song he’s titled “It’s You I See”. The track deals with expressing one’s romantic feelings versus holding them in. This just may be one of his strongest songs since his popular single “What If“. You also get some sharp looking visuals courtesy of Hi&Bye Productions making for a good watch for your Friday evening.
I would like to share my brand new song called “It’s You I See”. This song is about those who have been holding in their feelings for so long that they knew that it was time to let those feelings show. I know many of you go through this and sometimes it is difficult to express your feelings towards your “What If” girl (watch “What If” – Summer Breeze music video to know what I’m talking about). But it’s better to let them know when you feel it’s time rather than to keep the feelings inside.
But just remember, whatever he or she says…God planned that to happen. Everything happens for a reason and i strongly believe in that. And whatever that reason is, be blessed that they’re in your life.
So tell that special someone how you feel or…forever hold your peace.
The All-Male Youtube Cover Round-Up – 8/25/11
Last time around we featured an all-female line up of Youtube covers so it was only fair we showcased some talent from the other sex. Today’s round-up features the return of the esteemed team of Legacy & Summerbreeze, a remix of Drake by On Fire & Rocky, a couple more R&B covers from JRA & Jason Chen and two acoustic offerings from David Choi and Joseph Vincent. So go ahead and sit back and enjoy some good music by some talented lads.

Summer Breeze Re-releases “Connect”
5 years ago, Summer Breeze posted up a song on the now nearly barren Myspace called “Connect”. The track was off his debut album Making My First Move but last night he brought the oldie back for a re-release for all his fans old and new. The song obviously holds it’s ground well after all these years and if you want to add this new performance version to your playlist you can do so for the price of a McDouble via the Bandcamp widget below.
[Live Performance] Manny Garcia x Summer Breeze – “Come with Me” on MYX TV
MYX TV continues to release some great performance clips from their TV programs! This one features Manny Garcia, accompanied by Summer Breeze on the six string, singing his original “Come with Me”. He’s got a classy Buble meets Mraz type of vibe to him, and although he may not be quite as big as some of his contemporaries he still certainly deserves your attention. Great clip!
[Live Performance/Interview] Summer Breeze – “What If”
S. Breezy has just posted up his segment from the Loaded concert that occurred last fall. For those who don’t have MYX TV and didn’t get to peep it for yourself (such as I), then this is a great opportunity to check out what went down. Summer shared a few thoughts on camera and then sang his popular single “What If” for the crowd. It’s a heartfelt performance and a good watch.
[Video] Lil Crazed x Michelle Martinez x Summer Breeze – “Fading Away” (Acoustic Remix)
Back in March, Lil Crazed dropped the MV for one of his older tracks “Fading Away“. We thought it was a decent though frankly un-remarkable track but after viewing this video I’m left in awe of how a simple flip can breathe new life into a song. He teams up with Michelle Martinez and Summer Breeze for an acoustic rendition and I gotta say it’s a marked improvement over the original. Perhaps the three of them should team up for an all acoustic EP.
Michelle Martinez Shares MYX-Rated Live Performance & Interview
MYX-Rated is a great show that spotlights some incredible artists on channel MYX. Here is a great little segment they did on Michelle Martinez where she sang “Euphoria”, “Crushin”, and “Nobody but U” live, accompanied by Summerbreeze on guitar of course. This isn’t your average webcam/flip/iphone/fan-cam footage… it’s crystal clear HDTV quality – giving you an opportunity to see how good Michelle can look and sound. Great clip! You can find the songs off her album Adrenaline.
Michelle Martinez x Summerbreeze Shares a New Collab – “Nobody But U”
Summerbreeze has a tendency to bring out the best from the artists he collabs with and we’ve seen in person how well SB & Meesh can work as a musical team. This video clip, lighting & quality aside, is the perfect example of what we mean. Michelle Martinez sings her original song, “Nobody But U” (off her album Adrenaline), backed up by Summerbreeze on the six string. This was a quickie they threw together while backstage at a show in SF. While the studio album version is good, I’m digging this all acoustic version even more. Check it out below.
