Fans of Susie Suh should already be familiar with her song “In the Moonlight”, which she’s been promoting in some form since 2010. Most recently, it was included in her release of The Bakman Tapes back in November. The folk artist is giving it yet another push with the upload of this intimate, live Ustream performance. As much as I enjoy the song, I can’t wait to hear some new material from her soon!

Susie Suh’s New Video is a “Feather in the Wind”
Folk/Pop artist Susie Suh is promoting a new music video for the song “Feather in the Wind” that was a part of the Bakman Tapes Part 1 from a while back. It’s good to see her ramping up promotional activites again. Luckily, the full album is near completion and is finally due for release later this year. The video is beautifully shot though a bit… stationary. You’ll see what I mean. If you like the song, you can get it as a free DL if you choose to join her mailing list.
Susie Suh Releases New Song – ‘In the Moonlight’ For Free DL

Susie Suh has got some new music on the way in the form of the sequel to her 2009 EP The Bakman Tapes, though she’s offering up the lead single as a free DL for the month of May. This one is called ‘In the Moonlight’, and continues her trademark style… soothing folk acoustic pop. You can grab it from her website or via the widget below… though just a warning it’s a multiple step process of inputting your DOB, e-mail, then clicking on the confirmation link on the e-mail and finally the DL link on the resulting page. But for the price of free.99 for some quality music I guess you can’t complain!
Note: You can also catch this song on tonight’s episode of One Tree Hill.
Susie Suh Covers the Rolling Stone’s “Wild Horses” In Paris
Acoustic Folk artist Susie Suh just posted up a video of her singing in the middle of Paris. She chose to cover a song suggested by her fans, the Rolling Stones classic ‘Wild Horses’. Often I like these street videos where the singer sings in real-life environments because they add context and atmosphere but I actually thought it was a bit distracting here. Perhaps if they had found a way to better capture her audio it would have come out better mixed but as it it’s a pleasant, though uneven production. There’s no denying her voice is soothing though.
Susie Suh Interviews w/ AATheory
Folk artist Susie Suh chatted it up with AATheory for a great interview. This is actually one of the first interviews I’ve ever seen for the well respected artist and it’s really cool to hear the personality behind the music. It’s an impromptu setting as they just talk in a dressing room but the cover a lot of good topics. Fun fact, she’s worked with Horan from the Korean electronica group Clazziquai.
The first time I heard Susie Suh’s voice, my jaw dropped in astonishment. I was beyond impressed and it took one verse to get me hooked. She’s been compared to the likes of Sarah Maclachlan and Fiona Apple and though those two are musical legends, I still place Miss Suh at the top of my list. Her songs are real, powerful, and moving and her stage presence is just as extraordinary. In person, she’s one of the most down-to-earth and intelligent musicians I’ve ever interviewed. I’m proud to present to you my favorite singer and Asian American musician in the entertainment business. Enjoy another installment of “EMT” with Susie Suh.
