J-Ricz Remixes Taeyang’s “Wedding Dress”
“Wedding Dress” is a song that refuses to go away. I don’t really mind but I’ve started getting tired of covers, but this would be an exception. In fact it’s much more a remix and not just your typical cover and J-Ricz has completely recreated the song and turned it into an electro-pop dance track instead of the original mid-tempo ballad. If he dropped this 6 months ago I think it would have blown up immediately… who knows, it still might. J’s got a new album coming out at the end of the month so be on the lookout for that. KPOP Star Taeyang Goes International with the English MV for “I’ll Be There”
Taeyang, whose material is no stranger to many Asian-American artists in the states, seems to have international cross-over status in his sights and has released a new track in both Korean & English entitled “I’ll Be There” off his Solar International Album. You can see the official MV below, complete with “Thriller”-esque visuals and dance. What do you guys think? I’m sure the KPOP fans will love it but what about everyone else?
AJ Rafael x Albert Posis Mash Up Taeyang & Justin Bieber
Check out this interesting mash up of KPOP’s Taeyang and Justin Bieber. The two songs in questions are “Wedding Dress” and “That Should Be Me”. I like what AJ & Albert have done with this track. It’s a smooth mash-up and it’s kind of surprising how well these songs blend together. It’s either a testament to the common musical structure of pop music around the world or to AJ & Albert’s musicality, or perhaps a little bit of both. They should make this a free DL.

i already KNOW the amount of HATE this one’s gonna get cuz of the BIEBS but i just wanted to say he’s a real talented dude who got picked up because of YouTube. gotta support the fellow YouTubers, right?! and it’s a GOOD SONG. i do think maybe his marketing has caused his male fans to be called fags and homosexuals, but we’ll tell you right now, we know when we hear good pop music– and this song is just one of those songs.
J. Reyez x Tommy C Release the ‘Wedding Dress’ MV
J. Reyez & Tommy C have dropped the MV for their remix of Taeyang’s “Wedding Dress”. They chose some nice shoot locations for this video and I thought they did a pretty good job. In fact even though I wasn’t crazy about the remix when it first dropped, the video made me appreciate it more. The shots, quality, acting, and editing as a whole were fairly strong, I think most of you will enjoy this one.

J. Reyez x IBU x SoReal Cru Remixes Taeyang’s “Where U At”
J. Reyez is back with another Taeyang remix, once again featuring Tommy of IBU along with Pat Lam of SoRealCru. They dropped a video which is simple but fits the song well, and the dancing from Pat of SRC was a nice touch. I thought overall, this was a much stronger cover than his ‘Wedding Dress’ remix, which I wasn’t really feeling. This one seems to be a more natural fit for the artists. Is it better than the original? No, but it’s still a decent flip on it.

Tommy C and I got together to perform Wedding Dress for the first time last weekend in Toronto and we were gonna just put this song out with a youtube style video but figured we might as well shoot a nice quick promo video for it! Pat Lam from SoRealCru was also with us so he did a quick freestyle nice quick promo video for it!
Johnnyphlo Remixes ‘Wedding Dress’
If you’ve been a KPOP fan at any point in the last year or so I’m sure you’ve heard the R&B song ‘Wedding Dress’ by Taeyang, of the group Big Bang. If not, you should check it out, it’s a pretty good track, def one of my favorites from the guy. And it’s clear that a lot of people seem to agree with me as I’ve seen many a covers on Youtube, some better than others. Well this time Johnnyphlo decided to throw his own rendition into the mix and I gotta say this is a pretty decent listen. Maybe one day we’ll here a true Taeyang x Johnnyphlo collab but until then this will have to do. He’s offering it up as a free DL so make sure to grab it!
For shows, I usually do remix of popular Korean songs to connect with the audience and this is one of the songs I perform in my shows.
I know it’s been awhile since the original has been out but I just wanted to share with you as a thank you because I haven’t released a song in awhile. Enjoy!
