In this ATLien collaboration, The Yellow Boyz team up with Mike Fresh for the feel good party track, “Takin Over Your Party”. As we edge closer to summer, I can see this track as a fitting backdrop for those warm summer night BBQs. It’s a harmless but enjoyable mildly catchy tune with the production handled by JV.

The Yellow Boyz Debut MV for “Billy Kang”
“Billy Kings” serves as the latest single from YBZ‘s Yellow Brick Road mixtape after “Oink Oink” and “Snapback Season“. The song utilizes simple but infectious production (by TwoBandGeeks), with a similar video to suit (by Bright Elephant Films). Sometimes less is more, and I think this is a pretty good example of one of those times. Only problem is, now I can’t get that darn looped female vocal out of my head…
Yellow Boyz Unveil “Wsup With That”
The fellas of YBZ have uploaded a new song called “Wsup With That” produced by TwoBandGeeks. It’s a track geared for their international fans, as a large chunk of it is in Korean, where they’ve gained a lot of fans since their run on Superstar K last year. The ATLiens continue to cater to both their domestic and foreign fans, time will tell how long they can continue to bridge the gap with their brand of Southern rap.
New MV from The Yellow Boyz for “SnapBack Season”
The trio known as the Yellow Boyz have a new video on showcase, the MV for “SnapBack Season” off their Yellow Brick Road mixtape. It’s a chill watch and listen, but stays pretty safely within the confides of your ordinary DSLR Hip-Hop music video.
Random question, were snapbacks always called snapbacks? I’m pretty sure in the 90s we just called em hats… but I was a kid, so who knows.
The Yellow Boyz Promote the “Oink Oink” MV
With a new mixtape to promote (Yellow Brick Road), the Yellow Boyz are churning out another music video for the latest single, “Oink Oink”. Unfortunately, their video production values continue to degrade when compared to some of their older releases – an unfortunate pattern. That leaves it up to the audio and their brand of Southern Hip-Hop – which may be hit or miss depending on your preferences.
YBZ Releases the Yellow Brick Road Mixtape

As promised, ATL’s YBZ have released their new mixtape, Yellow Brick Road. The project includes their single “Shawty” that was released yesterday, along with their collaboration with Decipher & Kato – “Hit the Club” and 14 other tracks. Prefer to stream it first? You can listen to it via the widget below. Ready to commit some megabytes? Then proceed to DL from DatPiff. You can also check out their song “Billy Kang” via Youtube, after the break. YBZ x Lyricks Drop the “Shawty” MV
In promotion of tomorrow’s mixtape release for Yellow Brick Road by the Yellow Boyz, the group has unveiled a new MV for the song “Shawty”. The southern rap group enlisted the help of Lyricks for a feature, and you can see much of the video was shot in SuperNoVa studios in Virginia. I found myself feeling a bit indifferent by the end of this one, let’s see if the rest of the tape will change that.
Decipher Jumps on the “Hit the Club” Remix by The Yellow Boyz
It’s been about a week since YBZ dropped their new single “Hit the Club” but that doesn’t mean it’s too early to hear a new remix. This new version features Philly’s Decipher joining the crew by opening the song with the first verse. Almost makes me wonder what could have been had they made this a posse cut and gotten a lot of other artists to jump in on the action too.
The Yellow Boyz x Kato Release “Hit the Club”

Could this be an Asian-Am Southern Hip-Hop dream team? Kato has laced a new banger for the A’s Yellow Boyz called “Hit the Club“. K’s beats tend to always hit hard, so adding the YBZ would seem like a no-brainer. Fans are unlikely to be disappointed with this cut though I encourage you to find out how you like it for yourself. The new single is currently available via bandcamp and should be up on CDBaby & iTunes shortly. We’ll update with those links when they are up.
Passport: The Yellow Boyz Appear on Korea’s Amper Cypher Series
In South Korea, an online cypher video series hosted by Freestyletown.net called Amper recently put together a new session featuring a number of MCs including Atlanta’s The Yellow Boyz. The vast majority of the clip is in Korean but TYB sprinkle in some English here and there (we’ve gone ahead and set the clip to start on their section). Passda & AlP spit on the mic and all in all, it’s a pretty entertaining watch. The world needs more live cypher videos.
