Suzi Analogue x TOKiMONSTA (Analogue Monsta) Release the MV for “Time To”

Out of the blue, TOKiMONSTA has released a new MV for the track “Time To”, from an upcoming EP. This one is sponsored by Scion Audio Visual, and is like a 90′s acid trip of 3DO like graphics, Japanese pop culture, and laser disc video. Trippy does’t even begin to describe it. If that doesn’t make any sense to you then just go ahead and check it out below. Bizarre yet cool.

Ready for the fractalization of your frontal lobe? With their faded beats and vibrant vocals, Analogue Monsta (aka Suzi Analogue and TOKiMONSTA) enter a world of awe-inspiring animation. Directed by The Great Nordic Sword Fights.

TOKiMONSTA x Rucyl Present “Fame Boozer’s Lullaby”

Producer/musician TOKiMONSTA has joined forces with Rucyl on an ethereal song called “Fame Boozer’s Lullaby”. It’s a little bit of new age with some trip-hop and unorthodox layering, making for a unique audible experience that can ultimately be summed up as an acquired taste. This one won’t be for everyone, but to be sure, you can preview the song via the Soundcloud widget. Intruiged? Well then, you should grab the song for absolutely free, here.

TOKiMONSTA Presents the MV for “Darkest (Dim)” featuring Gavin Turek

Last May, TOKiMONSTA released an EP album entitled Creature Dreams. Then, last we heard, the producer/artist was looking to raise funds for a music video for one of the songs off the project. That song ended up being “Darkest (Dim)” featuring Gavin Turek and now we finally have the official MV too. It’s an abstract, somewhat surreal watch – think Alice in Wonderland meets Tron meets acid. Just check it out and you’ll know what I mean – but you know what? I kinda dig it.

TOKiMONSTA Shares “Swine and Burgers” From the Vault (2009)

For whatever reason, TOKiMONSTA decided to drop a previously unreleased track from the vault, 2009′s “Swine and Burgers”. Honestly, we can’t complain since her music has always been a fascinating balance between cool and trippy. It’s been up only half a day and it’s already got a fair number of comments up on Soundcloud. See what all the fuss is about via the widget below.

Help Fund TOKiMONSTA’s Next MV

Producer TOKiMONSTA has an ambitious visual project in the works and is looking to her community and network of fans to help bring the concept to fruition. TOKi is looking to craft an ethereal, visual piece to set to her music that tells an eccentric story of dreams and creativity.

When a female Dream Maker (played by Tokimonsta), whose job is to manage the playlist of a sleeper’s dreams (Gavin-the Singer), accidentally mixes one dream into another, she surprises Gavin into a remixed dream she never knew was possible. When Gavin awakens from her dream, we discover that Tokimonsta has already begun to remix her entire library of dreams together to play all at once.

Interested in learning how w you can help? You can find out more about the project by reading additional details after the break and contribute to the project via her kickstarter page! Can’t wait to see this one completed!

TOKiMONSTA Remixes “Scissors” for Eight and a Half

TOKiMONSTA has done some production work for a newer Canadian project group called Eight and a Half. The song is actually a remix of their lead single, “Scissors”. The diverse soundscape paints a ethereal picture to some dynamic sounds and drum patterns – sounds about right for a TOKi piece. You can check it out via the widget below. If you feel like adding this one to your collection, it’s available via iTunes as well.

Dia x KoreAm

For some reason there is a rumor floating around that I’m obsessed with Dia Frampton. Allow me to clear the publicly clear the the record – I’m not obsessed, just kind of in love with her.

Of course, I’m kidding… sort of. But that’s not the point. The purpose of this post is to inform you that Dia Frampton (whom many of you may know from the inaugural season of NBC’s The Voice , others may know her from her band with her sister Meg), has landed the front cover of the premier magazine for Korean Americans – KoreAm. Yea, she looks fantastic on it too. Anyhow, it also looks like Tokimonsta gets a feature inside the mag too, so go and pick up a copy!
