For over a year now, we’ve been hearing about The First Love project by the trio known as the Triangle Offense. Singles have leaked, an MV debuted, and tidbits of information have been released… and unfortunately only small bread crumbs continue to be made public. TO have posted up a preview of “Break Up”, which sounds like it has all the makings of an emotional Hip-Hop song. Time will till, I suppose… I suppose patience is a virtue for these guys, huh?

Triangle Offense x Ryan Bandong Release “Eyes Open”
We heard/saw the teaser a month ago, and today brings us the official drop of “Eyes Open” from the upcoming The First Love. This is a collaborative joint by Triangle Offense and Ryan Bandong (of Mitchell Grey fame). It’s a pretty decent radio-friendly single that’s representative of TO’s general eclectic style. It’s also good to hear all three of the Triangle Offense on the track, as one of them is typically missing in action due to educational obligations. DL the song for free, here.
The Triangle Offense Unveil Teaser for “Eyes Open” Featuring Ryan B of Mitchell Grey
As The Triangle Offense continues to prepare for their album The First Love, they’ve leaked out a new snippet to an upcoming track called “Eyes Open”. For this particular joint, they’ve linked up with their neighbors and fellow Kollaboration NY alum, Ryan Bandong of Mitchell Grey. Based on what we’ve heard so far, the collab seems to retain their signature sound, but it’ll be interesting to see how the addition of the Pop/Rock vocalist will play out. And for kicks and giggles, the teaser is set to clips from the 90′s rendition of Romeo + Juliet.

These are those Youtube videos where the audio and video were done at different times, requiring that much more work to bring you just a few minutes of entertainment a piece. So if you’ve got some time to kill, go through this playlist of 14 (yes, FOURTEEN) MVs across various genres. Which ones are your favorites?

Triangle Offense Collabs With Girard, Miso Kim & Jake Choi on “Number 1″
In an interesting collab, Dayside Productions have put together a little group effort dedicated to the culture of Video Games. Gerard from D-side enlists the help of Miso Kim, Jake Choi and a couple fellas from Triangle Offense for this track and accompanying music video. The visuals are pretty well done and come complete with a little cosplay to boot. It’s actually a pretty entertaining watch for anyone remotely interested in VGs. You can catch the ‘making of’ feature after the break.
The Rap Remix Round-Up – 11/30/11
Nah, this ain’t a Youtube round-up, as a number of the tracks you’re about to hear were delivered through various mediums but not limited to the Tube. So instead we have just a collection of tracks that have dropped in the recent – all Rap/Hip-Hop remixes of songs both old and new across various genres. So here they are in no particular order:
- Misfit – “So Crooked” (a remix of “Bonfire” by Childish Gambino)
See The Visuals for “It’s All Good (TO’s Diner)” by Triangle Offense
It’s already been almost half a year since the three headed group known as the Triangle Offense released the single “It’s All Good (TO’s Diner)” that featured a prominent sample from a Suzanne Vega track. Well, with their stint as competitors in Kollaboration NY 2011 just a few weeks away, they’ve smartly revved up the promotional vehicle – dropping a music video for said track. This is the second official music video from the group and a marked improvement over their visual debut. “It’s All Good” is the lead single off their upcoming project -The First Love.
Kollaboration NY 2011 Contestants Release Promo MV
These Kollaboration MVs are becoming too legit. We saw the preview a couple weeks back, and the NY show is coming up in a month’s time at the end of September, so here is the final cover MV of Maroon 5′s “Moves Like Jagger” by all the contestants. The talent pool seems to run deep this year so you can expect a heated competition. NY, you have one heck of a show coming your way. Check after the break for more information.

A Teaser Clip for the Kollaboration NY 2011 MV
Ooh, I’m liking the looks of this. Entering their 6th show, Kollaboration NY is one of the more veteran cities to host one of the longest running platforms for our communities’ talents. So it’s no wonder why their upcoming MV for this year’s show looks to have the polish and production values to match! This year’s card of contestants looks to be quite stacked and I saw a few familiar faces in the teaser below (set to Maroon 5‘s “Moves Like Jagger“), including Rooftop Pursuit and Triangle Offense.
Ticket pre-sales for the September 29th show have already begun, find out more here!

Another day, another endless batch of Youtube covers and remixes. Today’s theme is Top 40 Rap which of course includes remixes of the biggest names of late including Fab, Bad Meets Evil, Drake, Jay, Kanye and more. There are a few surprises in store including crooner Paul Kim showing his versatility by opting to spit a few bars, a conceptual remix by Triangle Offense and their ode to the Dark Knight, possibly the hungriest verses I’ve heard yet from the OnFire Ent crew, and that’s just to name a few. Check em all out below.
