Verseatile Teases with “Dreamchaser”

It looks like Verse has some new music in the works, a tune and visual called “Dreamchaser”. This one looks to be a little more serious/mature than his other releases – at least as far as I can tell from the short B/W teaser clip. The current release date is simply ‘January 2012′, so let’s see what happens in the next week to a month’s time.

Verseatile x Traphik Present “The Rebound” MV

Happy Tuesday folks. Verseatile and Traphik have released their new music video for their collaborative single, “The Rebound”. As the trailer suggested, there are a number of guest appearances, including Grace Su as the leading lady, Rick Carter as the antagonist (or maybe Grace is the antagonist – you decide), and a cameo by Danny Cho along with others. It’s a chill listen, a fairly entertaining MV that could have benefited from some better lighting here and there but an otherwise enjoyable visual.

The Holiday Cover Round-Up Part 5

Less than a week left til Christmas… bring on the covers! It’s our 5th Holiday round-up with appearances by Lily Bee, Jayesslee, Kat Badar, TNB, Erin Kim, Megan Lee, and Verseatile. Get your egg nog ready and munch on some candy canes cause there’s a good amount of music here. Enjoy!

Trailer Released for “The Rebound” by Verseatile x Traphik

Verse first shared “The Rebound” back in June, but the Traphik assisted song has been given the official MV treatment. Timothy de la Ghetto’s main partner in crime, Ricky, has a role along with Grace Su as the leading lady. The video is scheduled to drop “soon” so be on the lookout. We’ll be sure to share it with you all once it’s up.

Verseatile Drops “Hard”

Verseatile decided to drop a new joint called “Hard”, where he takes some verses both old and new and throws them on a J-Phonics produced beat. He decided to experiment a little bit with some high energy dub-steb mixed in with the electronica laced instrumental, combining it with some rapid-fire raps. Can’t say it’s a home run but it’s an interesting listen at the very least, def something different from the majority of rap songs as of late. It’s available as a free DL (until allotment runs out) via Bandcamp. If you only want to stream, you can catch it via Youtube after the break along with the lyrics.

The Youtube Rap Remix Round-Up – 10/26/11

Mid-week hump… why don’t we have another Youtube round-up! Today’s theme is “rap remix”, so all of the following are beats that our rappers decided to flip and use for their own purposes. Nothing wrong with that, just as long as you recognize it’s not a completely organic offering. The first two in our collection are placed as such because they have, by far, the best production values among the group. Thai’s in particular, is up to 454′s usual impeccable visual standards. But don’t sleep on Miss TLu of On Fire, the girl shows promise. The rest of the gang include a collab by Toestah & Jen Chung, LA’s 3Strykes representing too, Lil Crazed with a little spin-off of MGK, DUKE keeping things fun with a LMFAO joint and Verse rounding out the pack. Lot’s of Jay-Z x Kanye beats in here, I guess they are a crowd favorite.

Verseatile x Manifest x JoAnne Share “Who We Are” [MV]

About a month after first revealing the preview, Verse has dropped the full MV of “Who We Are” from his Worlds Apart EP -  featuring VA/Korea’s Manifest and former K-Pop star Jo-Anne on the hook. V did the video proper by making sure Mani made it into the visuals, thank God for the era of digital video – making intercontinental collabs all the more possible. Video is cleanly edited though it’s pretty much your standard single-cam-on-the-artist type of fare.

Sneak Peek at Verseatile’s Music Video for “Who We Are”

Verseatile is getting ready to unveil his next visual project for the single “Who We Are” off of his Worlds Apart EP from earlier this year. The original track features Manifest and JoAnne, the latter who will be definitely making an appearance based on the teaser above. No word if Mani is gonna feature too (considering he’s in the motherland ATM, but it wouldn’t be the first time Verse has released an MV without one of his co-stars. But speaking of JoAnne, some of you KPOP fans from the early 2000′s may find her vaguely familiar. It’s because nearly a decade ago she had a moderately successful albeit short career overseas as a budding young pop star. Check after the break for a reminder, but she’s sure grown up!

The rapper better known as Furis just dropped a new mini visual for an older track called “All the $ in the World”. It’s really just a verse and a hook but there are some  special cameos at the end of the clip including Dumbfoundead, Verseatile, Chosen One, 3 Strykes Krew, Lyricks and more. A cool watch for your Saturday evening.
