Things have been pretty quiet out of Johnnyphlo‘s camp ever since he made the move to Korea to pursue music over there. Thankfully, that silence looks to be just about broken with the upcoming Hip-hop track, “Rock the Mic” by Rp-Q & Akoustiq. All we have to go one so far is this short trailer and a vague message of “Coming Soon: 2012″; so here’s to hoping that the wait won’t be too long. Let’s hope the wait is worth it!

Check Out the Trailer for the “Turn Around ” MV by Derez
Around the latter half of April, Derez shared a song called “Turn Around” featuring Marnie Brown. Set aside a few minutes for Monday of next week, the 21st, which is when the video is currently slated to drop. Catch the teaser trailer below.

It’s not a secret that the likes of J. Reyez, Jimmy Boi, Jargon, and Tommy C all relish each other’s company – so a collab from the artists is not only welcomed by many, it’s expected. Sam Kang Teases for “Love Drama” MV – Due 5/1
Ooh, I’m looking forward to this one. Although we’ve seen a fair amount of Sam Kang recently with his side stint in TC & The Geunj, but it’s been quite some time since we’ve seen or heard any new solo material. “Love Drama” looks to rectify that with a video release slated for May 1st – just a week and change away. What makes it particularly interesting to me is their novel use of stop-motion animation in the video, bringing us a potentially refreshing spin for the visual.

Jane Lui Debuts Video for “Heaven on a Hill” (feat Paul Dateh & Danny Morledge)
Personally, I can’t get enough of Jane Lui and her music – and the fact that she’s not uploading some half-hearted cover video every week makes me appreciate her material all the more when something is released. “Heaven On a Hill” is a joint collaborative effort with Paul Dateh & Danny Morledge, and she’s also put together a video for the sweeping acoustic song. The trio make a great team, and this is a song worth checking out. Lyrics & BTS footage can be found after the break.

Sea-town’s Gifted on West East is hard at work on his debut album, now officially titled We Are HyperGiants, and though it’s not due till June, he’s given us a sneak peak of one of the singles – “First Flight”. The song features his fellow hometown musical brethren, Travis Graham of New Heights, and you can get a glimpse of things to come with the video teaser (by Ed Park) he posted up today. Looks like we have a lot to look forward to.
Quest Crew Shares BTS Footage From “Sorry For Party Rocking” MV by LMFAO
Last month, LMFAO released the MV to their latest single, “Sorry for Party Rocking”. Rather than trying to fix what ain’t broken, they stuck to their tried and true formula for this album of celebrated debauchery and lots of dancing. The Quest Crew have become staples of LMFAO videos, and this trend continues where they are also joined by their ABDC rivals, The Beat Freaks, and future alum Moon from IaMmE Crew. Check out all the behind the scenes goodies that Quest has provided, and if you missed the original video, you can find it after the break.
