Whats going on aTunes readers. I gotta say times has flown since June 2008 as this site has grown and found it’s own niche. Even now we are finding our own identity and adjusting as we discover what works, what doesnt, and what can be improved.
Anyways just wanted to officially point out some of the features of the site that have been implemented but nevery formally announced. First is the Categories section to the left. Every post on this site has a category so here’s the rundown and what each are supposed to represent.
- aTunes News – this is meant for posts such as this one. with news pertaining to the site itself. nothing more nothing less.
- Critic’s Corner – this was started just a couple months ago and only has a couple entries. You can find in depth reviews of albums here.
- Just ‘Cause – Honestly it’s just random crap I thought was entertaining and felt like sharing.
- Lookin’ Back – All about blasts from the pasts. Old looks at musicians and eras that may have been forgotten by some.
- Music News – These are the most frequent types of posts about the musicians themselves and their current events. Honestly 99% of the time I’m just jacking the news from other sites but I try to always remember to give credit.
- Spotlight – This section is still being defined. It is meant as more of an opinion editorial column meant to highlight artists. Look for more of this in the future.
- The List – It’s all about the artists. Check the list for an ever growing collection of asian american artists I recommend.
- Two Cents – Pure opinionated editorial. Just my random thoughts on a person and/or subject.
- Where Are They Now? – Almost like a combination of Spotlight and Lookin’ Back. Just a place to read up on the career paths of artists from beginning to sometimes end.
- Worst Ever – What would life be without the embarrasing moments? Here’s a glimpse of some of that.

Lastly we are coming up on our 100th post and 10,000th view! For a site with a niche topic and zero marketing we have no one to thank but you. Thanks for helping aTunes grow and here’s to many more milestones to come.
