Bella Interviewed by WWS

The young Pop singer was interviewed last month by the online edition of Worldwide West Side magazine. It’s a fairly short interview but if you don’t know who Bella is then it should get you relatively caught up to speed.

Here’s a preview:

Tell me something we don’t already know about you.
I just dyed my hair honey blonde. My favorite thing in the world is food. I’m ticklish. My dad is 1/4 Caucasian. I had a brother who passed away before I was born. I have 2 true BFFs. I have a boyfriend who loves me. I hit and run the first time I ever drove. I love big cars. I want to get signed this year.

If you’re too lazy to hit up WWS for the rest then you can find the interview after the jump!

Who is Bella? The Korean pop star took her time out to speak with us and tell her about her unusual life. She recently just turned 18 and now comes fully to adulthood. What has changed since her early years, and what changes are going to be made? What is it really like to be Bella?

Who is Bella? if you were in the dictionary, what would it say next to your name?
Bella- noun. a vessel of beauty that holds the attributes of music.

I hear you just had a birthday, Happy Birthday by the way! How does it feel to finally be legal?
Aww thank you! It feels awesome and awkward at the same time LOL It feels good when people treat me like an adult, but it doesn’t feel so good when I realize that I’m in a real world and I’m responsible for myself. It sucks when I go to 18&up club and get stamped or marked with a Sharpie!!!

As an adult, is the transition different for you business wise? Does it seem like you are handling more of your own work?
Not really because I always handled my work since I stepped into this industry. I think people treat me as an adult and respect me more. Lots of people think I’m older than my age because I carry myself older and I look old hahaha

You’re a Korean pop artist, what’s it like being an anomaly?
I don’t want people to see me as a Korean singer.. I want people to recognize me as an artist who happens to be Korean. I just try to stay true to myself and hopefully the result will be good.

What do you want to bring to the industry that you feel it’s missing?
I want to bring not only a unique style of music, but me as a brand. I want to be a diva, an icon, and a role model. I want to make songs that will last for years and years. I’m going to launch a clothing brand, make-up brand, cellphone line, and an automobile line (if I can hahaha). I want to be remembered even after 100 years.

Who influences your music?
The artists that I listen to definitely influence my style of music and unforgettable events in my life influence my writing.

How’d you feel when you first found out one of your songs would be placed in a movie?
I was like “damn this is cool!” I couldn’t believe it until I actually got to hear my song in the movie.

Is your family supportive of your carreer?
My mom is supportive but my dad isn’t. When my mom got pregnant, she had a dream of this huge diamond and she knew that I was going to be somebody.Do yo still get the butterflies on stage?
I still get butterflies before I go on stage…….but when I go on stage, I forget any negative thoughts and become a different person. That’s when I can really express myself and I love being on stage. It’s the best feeling ever.
