Illmillion, you may remember this young hip-hop artist from the huge collab track, ‘Bedrock’ remix. On that track I thought he had one of the stronger contributions and was pretty intrigued when I found out he just released a new single called ‘She Let Me Down’.
So how’s the track? I have mixed feelings on it and I imagine it’ll split the audience as well. The production’s pretty nice and Ill does his best Drake/Weezy impression but there in lies the song’s biggest fault. It comes off kind of copy cat but I have to admit it’s mildly catchy.
The whole auto-tune movement had me on the fence from the get go so it’s expected that I’m somewhat lukewarm to a track done completely through that effect. Though I’m sure some of you will love it. Either way, I’m looking foward to what else this kid’s got in store for us.
