Michelle Martinez teams up with Lil Crazed for this new remix of Nicki Minaj’s current single “Your Love“. On paper I thought I would have enjoyed this more since I like the original and both Michelle and Crazed are talented artists but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. Lil’s lyrics are always a mixed bag for me going back and forth between clever and corny, but it’s fitting for this style of hip-pop. However Michelle sounded a bit awkward in the hook. She’s not off or anything but she’s too good a singer for the simplified melody so the end product is somewhere weirdly in the middle. But she sounded great on the bridge making me think the track would have turned out better if she re-wrote the whole thing. Anyway, it’s still a fun listen. You can DL it for free here.
