Lyricks Drops a “Sixteen for Cairo [Egypt on Fire]”

Hip-Hop MC’s continue to use their voices for a cause. A couple days back we shared Taiyo Na’s verse with you regarding the crazy situation in Egypt, and now Lyricks has thrown in his own 16 to inspire “true intercession”. These are great examples of musicians using their art for something greater than themselves. Don’t sleep on what’s going on in other parts of the world everyone.

This is dedicated to frustrated and aggravated
innocent civilians who’ve waited and calmly
demonstrated resilience without a rock thrown,
Who prayed when they got home.
They scared because its revolution,
Prepared to get shot, blown to pieces

if peace could come! To raise a family up.
Dedicated to the boy shot in Alexandria.
I sing for the ones who use love in order to fightback.
Send prayers and blessings… they fire slugs right back!
And life is like that…
World power is arrogance,
The first to die are usually martyrs and good samaritans,
They don’t reciece love from this life. Strictly inheritance,
which is unseen by this eye it’s not like

‘there it is: you see it and take it and try it.’
Belief and faith is required, receiving pain thru
Ther fire. Either you’re strange [holy] or liar [false prophet]
SATAN plays games so deny it, readin the word and live by it.
I’m TIRED. I’m TRYING. The world is on fire.
