Sam Hart’s acoustic stylings tend to be hit or miss for me, especially as he seems to deliberately distance himself from his name-making Mario Kart Love Song days. But this one, called “Day Star”, was oddly straight down the middle. I enjoyed his almost folksy melody and quirky composition but thought the song could have used a little more style and emotion here and there. But I know of plenty of folks who love all his material so maybe it’s just me.
