Normally we probably wouldn’t share a song recorded via iPhone but we thought this was a notable exception. Bobby Choy, better known to most of you as Big Phony, has recently uprooted himself and flown across the world and made a new home in his motherland of Korea. It would appear that he’s going to be living there for quite some time and in honor of his home of nearly the past decade, he’s penned and recorded “Goodbye, CA”. Big Phony has always had a penchant for crafting calm but heartfelt tunes and I think the fact this was recorded in an empty room in Seoul really hits the point home – he’s not in California anymore.
